What day355 said is correct and I am sorry that my comments don’t make sense to you. I can’t help it if you can’t read between the lines. I will remind you of you this post when the new car is launched. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
so if this one is not a 812 replacement but is a v12…where does it sit in the pecking order? More powerful? Regular production?
As I noted already, very nice and original back window design but if the rear window on the camo car is real, it doesn’t appear to be sloped so steeply—in fact, it looks quite “flat”. Maybe something like this: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes of course: it could be an SP4, but it would be very strange to me; as far as I know, we never saw a prototype of a previous SP before it was officially revealed. But I could be wrong. In this case, then, why aren't we seeing prototypes of the "real" F167 around, given that this one seems to be derived from it? If you notice, the windshield in these latest prototypes is the same as the Roma-based mules, and we know (because we saw it on the Purosangue mules with Maserati bodywork) that Ferrari installs the new model's windshield on the early mules (probably, for ADAS testing purposes)
Although it certainly sounds like a V12 in the video. Which puts it back in the next gen 812 camp again. A very confusing / cryptic set of comments Condor.
Thanks for confirming where it sits. I made an assumption as i dont recall ferrari doing quad exhausts on their 8 and 6 cylinder cars in recent years. Can you share info on the powertrain? It clearly is not a hybrid as it does not have the markings we typically see and the hood is long that we see in front mid engine 12 cylinder ferraris.
Actually, front V8 cars (Roma, Portofino) have quad exhausts. But I'm still curious to hear what Condor replies regarding the powertrain...
it it is very nice, as usual your work is top. My only issue is that think you can put (m)any badge on it. If i drowe behind one, i wouldn't be able to tell it's a Ferrari
With the announcement of the 296 challenge car being unveiled, I am guessing we won’t see the V12 unveiled until next year… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
That's a racing car, has nothing to do with the 812 replacement. As if Ferrari would caually drop a very important new car launch casually during Finali Mondiali...!
oh, so many worries here... 167 will not be present at the finali mondiali. The first half of 2024 is still ongoing. the car's categorization is GT, but that's a consequence of the design, not the container. If you consider a Competizione to be a GT, then it works. It's much more about marketing, because when I see the rev counter, I can't imagine a GT. The design will be unanimous "in metal" because I remain circumspect about the presentation previous renderings . If you like a pure and modern design at the same time, you'll like it a lot, especially the back three-quarter. For the interior, "almost" no miracle, but hey. Enjoy this wait, these are the last three of the species !
thank you for the clarification! Can you please provide more context or clarity on your last statement….”…these are the last three of the species!” i can’t wait for the 167 just hearing and inferring from whats being implied here!
So a coupe, a GTS, and a "Competizione" ? No Aperta version of the Competizione? Odd that Ferrari doesnt milk that cow to the last drop!
Nothing prevents Ferrari from drifting the Competizione.... and if you ask me, I'd like to see an RS version of the competizione I will pass the message on your behalf
