What? The Testarossa is a pure and cohesive design with a single line from front to back, very much unlike the 599. This is not saying I like the boxy design of the Testarossa but at least it does not look like a patchworked gimmick.
one day I went for a country drive with a friend, he has a black testarossa, we drove quite hard overtaking each other and winding them up. What struck me was with the open slated rear releasing engine noise along with the exhaust, I now really like that car, and would probably choose one to sit alongside the 550.
We are talking about two different things. I was referring to the 599 being clearly in the V12 blood lineage of all the cars I posted before and the Testarossa not.
The Boxers and Testarossas were just 180 degree V12s instead of 60 degrees or 65 degrees (even 75 degrees in the 412 T2).

The GTC/4 is a 2+2 (barely), and that is why it was missing from a two-seat line-up. Not too many competed at Le Mans, but neither did the 599.
That‘s the point, the 2 back „seats“ aren’t seats and it‘s a real Berlinetta in sence of space and design. In my eyes this 2+2 marketing thing is a big mistake. For me it‘s definitely worth to be a member. just my 2 cents…
Note the GTC/4 evolved into the 365 GT4 2+2 (same engine), 400 GT/GTA, and 412 GT/GTA. The Daytona was the end of the line for 60 degree V12 Berlinettas.
I know the history but in my eyes the Gobbone is a Berlinetta, wheelbase and place in the back is not a 2+2 and if there would be a fond seats delete nobody would mention it‘s a 2+2. Chassis construction came from the Daytona, 15 cm longer wheelbase, Tipo 251 was base for the F101 construction and in my eyes there are a lot of Berlinetta (especially Daytona) DNA. Ignoring that 2+2 marketing thing and lookig to data and shape, it‘s easy to say the 365 GTC/4 is a thoroughbred Berlinetta. But not important and only my 2 cents. I love the Daytona, the Gobbone and also the 365/400/412 four seaters.
Having driven the car over 1,000 miles now in the past 3 weeks, I am really enjoying it as I have developed a nice rhythm and I have to say I love driving it! The only thing that I am not loving is trying to school Valet's on how to use the hand brake and the immobilizer!
Handbrake works just like a Corvette's. Not sure I would let a valet touch mine. Has not happened in 15 years.
Sometimes you can’t get around it in LA. I have a Ferrari event tomorrow and I wanted to take the 575 and I have already seen that they have a Valet for parking….. here we go again! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
So last night I went to a private screening of the New Ferrari Film and although I parked it myself. When I got back they still moved the car!!! Very annoying! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
