this car isn’t V6? New V8 range seems quite improbable…

True, but installing V6 to long hood car that can incorporate V12, is madness in a high end performance car. Who would want one?

In Lusso V8, they added front wheel drive to add more mass to the front (and also to increase overall mass to help V12 version to gain upper hand after initial acceleration).

Hybrid edition would probably require the same treatment, but batteries should be placed elsewhere, hence causig totally different weight distribution. V8 Turbo hybrid would be something that V12 has no realistic means to compete.

I think Ferrari will focus on V6 Turbo hybrids anyway from now on. It is a very tough opponent for V12 too. I don't see these appearing on a same car.

Who ever said that politicians are intelligent? China is playing the US and Europe to protect its dominance on the EV battery supply .

Point was that offering two different engines doesn't seem to fit with Ferrari.

Which is why the China angles also comes into play.

There is no need being agressive this is a place where enthusiasts are free to share their opinion and debate freely and respectfully.
Although I highly value Day’s comments and insights let’s not forget that whoever in the know from the factory is unlikely to divulge the exact outcome here. Similarly I appreciate your link to the video this is nothing but assumptions from journalists and the media who know nothing and more often than not have it totally wrong.

Perhaps then there will only be a high performance v6 tt hybrid under that hood and a more extreme ( VS) variant down the road?? Really looking forward to the reveal

If video of the F167 mule suggest that it has a long hood like its predecessor and it also sounds like a V12, why would one ignore this evidence and think it would be a V6 instead?

If you ask me, Ferrari will build V12 engines longer than expected (regardless of what is being said at the moment). Volumes will eventually go down for sure. At some point they will probably require clients to buy a fully electric car before having any chance of getting quota for V12 car. It is a nice way to reduce average emissions and keep customers interested also in their electric range.

Because based on previous experience with test mules it is never clear which model is being tested, and all we see in that video is a car driving at low speed. An F8 was driving past me the other day it had a deep baritone type of sound as well
And Ferrari can easily play with the exhaust pipes on a mule as they wish for testing purposes. Looking at this car isn’t necessarily evidence that it is the F167 and that a v12 will be in that car at launch

i totally agree with you that they will keep making the v12 as long as they can what I said however was that imo it would be reserved for limited and one off series sold for top money not necessarily to mere mortals as it used to be ( with the exception again of the PS and GTS as i mentioned earlier) on production series.

I am no dealer but a collector sharing an opinion. You seem to have a particular agenda however judging by your level of emotion. Just relax we are just sharing thoughts and making assumptions if you are so such and confident it will be NA v12 please point us to the reliable source

Well observed! It looks like they moved the safety belt suspension further inward. The slot for the belt can be seen on the underside of the panel. Does a roll bar take up space? Rather not... maybe an aero element takes up space on the B-pillar (some kind of aero blade or an active system like on the KC-23/look at the pic below). That would also explain the wide “ears” of the prototype. The B and C pillar would therefore form an “aero-unit“. We know that Ferrari is always good for a surprise when it comes to aerodynamics...;)

There are talks of using it on the PS down the line although they could use the v6 hybrid as well…
