Well...I am either getting a 167 gts...or adding an f12 to pair with my 458 spider...

Either way I think I would feel good about that outcome

This thread was quite moribund a couple of weeks ago but things appear to have heated up nicely. Although have stated in the past I would like the 812 replacement to have been a regular production rear mid V12 I have tempered my expectations based on what I’ve seen and read.
Here’s is what I can realistically expect and/or hope from Ferrari:
A slightly smaller and lighter (is 200 lbs lighter too much to ask?)front mid V12 which is probably ROMAnesque in design with a nod to the past and perhaps a 1971 Buick Riviera shaped rear glass(kinda jet fighter like- not what I want but we’ll see)
840-50hp V12 and maybe just maybe surprise us with an extra 75-100 hp turning the front wheels from a smaller electric hybrid motor and small battery pack(think lighter Ferrari)
And with this id like a 10 sec flat 1/4 mile and a sub 7 minute Ring time(if MB AMG Black can do it with 730hp- Ferrari can too)- to keep the car somewhere relevant with regards to top performance cars today
A classic interior with modern design and interfaces.
Hardtop and a GTS which have identical room for the occupants (sorry the current GTS does not have the same leg room or recline for us 6’2”” or taller- less comfortable for longer trips- which is why I got rid of mine- better GT qualities would be appreciated )
If the GTS is a folding hardtop please integrate the nacelles better or better yet make it a multilayer soft top.
    That’s it.
Oh and keep the price under $500K

I personally think you have been very reserved about the dual personality of the F167 species which makes me ponder various thoughts including the actual full extent of your knowledge.

Personally, I thought I provided everything that was required….. but you know what they say……..

You can lead a horse to water….. but you can’t teach it how to swim.

PS - I might own some Roblox shares.

I have followed this thread for quite a while and in September you seemingly were on board with this being the 812 replacement saying it appears as, “the natural successor” (#3618), and “Since it is going to be the last V12. Why not call it “The V12” May the Horse be with you” (#4415) but on 17 Oct is when you had a switch of opinion.

I am curious as to what has changed in that period?

Just got an F12 in August to replace my Roma, fabulous machine and prefer it to the 812. Will be happy to keep it if the f167 doesn't turn out to be what I want (ie if it's hybrid).

Edit, may keep F12 and get F167 if nice also.

Rest assured, if you don't have a purosangue, you can't get an F167.

Those days of having to by something to get something else as far as regular production cars is pretty much over. Almost any one can order a car these days- it still may take 3+ years to get it but this has not been an issue for most buyers. This of course does not apply to “specials” such as VS, Icona or perhaps even the V12PS.
Ferrari is looking to max output with turbos, hybrids,EVs (eventually) while keeping V12 production relatively flat as the old farts like me who cherish the V12 eventually die out or leave the new Ferrari market altogether .

    I haven't changed at all.

The F167 is the natural successor for the 812.

At least one of it's variants is and will have a V12.

I'm a bit surprised of this engine variant discussion. Has Ferrari somehow indicated that they were happy with Lusso "experiment" and they want to continue doing variants?

Given the history of Ferrari, I think the car should be build over the engine and not the other way around.

In which range will the « new V8 » for next year be? Above 296?

Of course. 296 is way too cheap for nowadays pricing.

Speaking of variants, i’m still of the opinion that the car first launch with either v6 or v8 tt hybrid and an “end of the line” variant might be with a v12, and reserved fir those who had purchased the first non v12 variant and perhaps also own an 812/812gts
Build slots are getting available soon so by now some people already know the outcome
Consider that the v12 assembly line is used by the purosangue ( making tons of them), the 812 coupe and gts still being made, the competizione and daytona sp3 still being made - all if which likely to be made for a further 2/3 years.,are they gonna get the space in the assembly for another high volune v12. Car?

Let's be clear, I don't consider Roma 2 to be a variant of 167, even though it will use the same structure. And for those wondering about a "new" V12, it doesn't exist anywhere currently, neither in the product plan, let alone on engineers' work tables. And you don't develop a new V12 in 3 years. Lamborghini uses an Aventador base in its hybrid, nothing more.

The integration is reminiscent of a fighter jet, yes, but the shape...

This platform is going to be very unique and a new style of thinking for Ferrari which is nothing like they have really done before.

Thank you and it is about time you have acknowledged this fact. I have being trying to point this out.

BTW - Structure/Species....... Call it what you will.

I personally don't like the name Roma 2 naming. (Having stated this, I understand why it has been doubted this).

Let's just call it the "GT" from now on as this really suits the intent of the vehicle.

Is it certain that it will come?
Will this a new model or a successor to the F8?
Limited or not and with or without hybrid?

    That is the wrong Question.

    The Question should be;

Shouldn't there be a new thread given this thread was supposed to be about the 812 Replacement?

Lol, why limit production to a handful of owners worldwide. I suspect the buyer criteria will be must own a V12 Ferrari. Yes, F12 owners will be far down the queue but I'm a patient man and if it doesn't materialise, I'll be happy with my F12.
