I'm considering it but not looking forward to GA
Thanks, I am considering going but I will have to leave on Saturday morning for another trip. If I do go it will be from 11/16 to 11/18 and I'll try to catch practice/qualifying on Friday. I'll be in Vegas 11/4-11/6 for Giants/Raiders, my 1st time at Allegiant. What's your F1 Itinerary?
MIDNIGHT RUN — I can’t think of a better first drive in new car than Las Vegas for F1 .. !! My agenda is to leave so cal by 12 to 1 am on Wednesday.. ( I’m shipping car back ) Of course to avoid traffic at both legs Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Some restaurants are offering som good viewing packages and may take advantage of that. Food and booze included. Lodging is the issue. Was thinking ofmdriving of driving the 488 up, but depends on lodging.
Heard hotel rates are dropping. I don't need to stay on strip. Mostly worried about parking the Fcar. Where are you staying?
Hi all, I have 4 grandstand tickets for sale for the LVGP. As long time F1 fanatics, we bought these tickets as soon as they opened up for sale. But due to unfortunate events that happened in our lives soon after the purchase, we cannot go anymore. These are the full 3 day grandstand packages that comes with unlimited food and drinks. I can post the details of the tickets if there is any interest, and if I have the permission from the moderators to do so. I do not want to step on anyone’s toes if this thread or forum is inappropriate for such. Thanks, Alex
TICKET HELP !!! I WAS ABLE TO SECURE A PADDOCK PASS AND WILL BE MEETING THE SELLER DAY BEFORE --- I'M PAYING CASH FOR PASS/TICKET FROM AN UNKNOWN. COULD SOMEONE PM ME (OR POST) A PHOTO OF WHAT THE PASS LOOKS LIKE ? I JUST DON'T WANT TO GET SCAMMED
Let's say you were selling a paddock pass. You are legit and have no interest is cheating anyone. Your buyer says "can I buy this through PayPal so that I am protected". I know there is a fee and you will lose a little money, but wouldn't you be understanding and fine with that? My point is, why dont you request payment this way to protect yourself? I would be suspect if the seller got upset or refused. On a 5k ticket, the fee is 150 bucks with PayPal. F1 will bring out a lot of scammers. Just happened to me as someone in this thread tried to catfish me. Assumed it was all men posting, so I responded , and didn't read the profile details. Luckily mods took care of it and it wasn't a real threat as I have no interest in meeting women (unless a a part of a couple we could hang with) on F Chat. Point is, the scammers are everywhere!
I'm being lazy and copying what I posted in the F1 forum. Overall, we loved the event and will be back. The only thing I would add to my original thoughts are each ticket is restricted to a specific "Zone" and it would be nice to wander around to other parts of the track. Here are my comments from over the weekend: We're here and having a blast so far. I would give Las Vegas an "A" for a first-year event considering the size and scope of this thing. Yes, some things have gone wrong but many things have gone right and I'm certain there are some lessons they will take away for next year. Unfortunately, I'm bummed to see so much hate for this event but I guess haters are going to hate. A few things that could help for next year would be: - Have support races. There is too much dead time between sessions with nothing going on especially when it's so late. Maybe something like Ferrari Challenge? - Move the times of the races earlier in the day. There really is no reason for this to be a night race. It could actually be better business for the casinos and restaurants if the races were during the day. It would actually be cheaper for F1 since they wouldn't need to put up all the lighting. - The ticket prices are what they are. We've gone to a couple of F1 races this year and there is no such thing as a cheap F1 ticket. The market will dictate that and I suspect we'll see lower prices next year but we'll see. I do think the last minute discounting is going to result in fewer people buying tickets well in advance for next year and waiting to see if more deals like this pop up. Yes, they charged too much this year but I think the lesson has been learned. - There could be more F1 things to see around the city that don't require a ticket. Montreal does an excellent job with this. - More Jumbotrons around the track so people can see everything going on during the race. All in all, we'll likely be back and hope the LV Grand Prix has a long and successful run with F1.
