Nice 80 degree day here up in New England. Took the car out for a bit. At one point during the drive, I hear some banging and then look out to see something flying in the air behind the car. Pulled over a few miles later and looked around and didn’t see anything obvious. Then around the front of the car I saw something hanging off the front splitter. Turns out, the front splitter separated and the lower part separated from the top part and flew out under the car. Anyone ever had this happen or heard of it happening before?

Are you saying the center piece that bolts onto the bottom of your bumper came apart and the bottom piece flew down the road? Sounds like an opportunity to replace with a carbon version. But seriously is that way happened?

Exactly what happened. And more than likely the route I’ll go.

That green epoxy that Ferrari use is generally pretty good, but it isn't infallible: I've had some areas of failure on my Spider hood cover near the engine lid. Replaced with a one-off carbon part.
