Troopys. I love 'em and so do the Murri's. I had a similar one,a '94,for some years earned me heaps from various longterm hires. So much so that about 11 weeks into a $900/week rental to a mob from Coen, they asked if I'd sell it to 'em. Yep $7k without a roady or rego.....................SOLD I don't know how much that old thing made in the end, probably enuff to have bought PP's blue 308 I suspect. We could do bizz together!
It's not Metalica but a very cool story: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-10-31/wade-forster-performs-with-cody-johnson-on-luke-combs-tour/103040244
Here is another view of the damage on the Toyota from that big loader the other night. Would have been scary as hell being in that Toyota. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just as well you didn't buy it,looks like rust is starting around the 'screen and some remedial paintwork on the tradiebar is necessary....
All those Toyota's used underground end up as rust buckets. Pap, are yours the usual: choice of 3 low or reverse for gears?
They lock them into low 4, remove the low gear stick lol We have all 5 gears these days, but the cars are speed limited to 25km/h Makes it slow driving around in low 4 at 25 km/h lol
Yep,I bought an ex mine Canter to wreck, all same PLUS they'd doctored the governor on the injector pump....engine was good though. Remember that one you did some work on? the engine went into that about 2 yearsago and was fine until some drongo told me he was going to Olivevale station just outside Laura...that's why I let him take it last November. Nup the kant went another 25klm north and got stranded on the wrong side of the Little Laura river,a quite steep in and out,...and then it started to rain so he had a go at going through but the level got too high very quickly and he fluffed it half way through...water went into the airbox, that's how high the water was, they tried to drag it out with a couple of busted arse 4wd's and could only pull it so far up the slope bakwards. It kept raining for about a month and the whole truck went under..............for about 3 weeks under water. Eventually his old man who I've known for 25+ years came to the rescue, again apparently, and paid for a towie from Mt Molloy to drag it to John the wrecker who gave me a grand for the remains and the old man forked out $9K so I didn't take the top off his dumbarse son's shoulders. This was a year ago and the start of a godawfull year...and folks wonder why I've been a touch techy......
Tuesday was really sketchy, 80kph winds, thought we were going to get run over but a late wind change saved our arse. No words to describe how good the RFS are. We are used to having one big fire but this time we had 17 big fires surrounding the town. A bit scary but now all good.
Not sure if it’s the same area, my work mates parents live just off Steve Irwin drive in Beerwah and he has been showing me some of the fires in that area from two weeks ago and again now and man, very scary for those living in that area. His parents are elderly and are ok and I am glad to hear you and your family are safe now also John.
Cheers man, I wasn't sure where he lived. Old work mate had a house down there in Tenterfield, he was looking forward to moving into it one day. Unfortunately had a brain aneurysm and passed away back in 2019.
Picked up one of my big girls from school earlier today. She hasn't been in the Ferrari for 4+ years, so of course she LOVED it. Will take the other big girl home in the Ferrari on Monday after school and the little one on Tuesday after school. She asked if they make any Ferraris with more than 2 seats, I told her they do and she told me I should buy one. Greg, selling that Mondial yet............... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm selling my proper 4 seat FEV12OHOS and could possibly take a part trade.........youse know ......Murri motors:unique FNQ Ferrari traders inc!
Lol cheers mate, I was thinking more Mondial. But in saying that, I’ve got 3 children, if we only had two children I probably would have already bought one and the Wife’s daily would have been a Maserati Granturismo also as they are 4 seats also. But nope, went back for the third child hoping it would be a boy and it backfired lol 3 girls
