Depends what end of the line means. Of course there will be more V12 but the view and assumption here are that they will be reserved for limited editions models available to a handful of clients and at sky high prices. Look how much a monza sp2 is selling for, according a some a rebodied 812…

The 812 gts was supposed to be made until now, pretty much on schedule. I think they made about 4600 of them (educated guess). The Monza and Daytona Sp3 are gorgeous but yes rebodied 812’s. Cash cows. I firmly believe they will pump out as many PS as possible. It opens up a market to so many more people. Think soccer, moms, SUV, drivers, flashy millennials versus purists like myself. I think it will eat up so many v12’s and the rest will go to super expensive limited editions. That equals a win win for Ferrari.

100% my view. The gts is still being made today they are even making the coupe ! They will pump thousands of purosangues and make more money with that car than they did with the 812 SF. For me as well as a purist the pure v12 experience and ferrari work of art stops with the F12tdf for limited series and the 812 SF pre gpf on production series car. Imo other than the PS the other v12 that will come will very limited editions / maybe one last icona with the sp4 and will be sold for millions each.

And a loss for enthusiasts that still pine for V12 production cars (not SUVs). :( Using the V12 to tap into that broader market might make commercial sense...but profitability isn't the thing I'm looking for from Ferrari.

End of the line for production V12s that aren't an SUV would make me very sad.

All the more so if it wouldn't have been necessary if not for the SUV.

For the pure v12 experience the answer might be in the past sadly.

Going public means $$$$$ and they have to keep shareholders happy. Thousands of SUV’s (yes suv) and icona means RACE stock screams at 9000rpm. I love that I started with a 360 and currently enjoy a 458S and 812GTS. Let’s hope they will not abandon us.

Let's rally the FChat community and do a buyout! What's a billion or two (or 54 + buyout premium) between friends? :D

Sorry, we kind of commandeered this thread. Back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Love to hear what Marcel M thinks about this line of reasoning.

Thank you, I laughed a lot! In fact, he forgot to mention that the displacement was 2 liters, with 6 turbos:D:D:D
Seriously, you're a car dealer with a lot of 812s in stock ?:D:D

Not at all just an enthusiast and collector who likes to share substantiative information with the group received from various sources and curious to hear people’s thoughts. I would love some more concrete view if you don’t mind sharing with us?

I was joking, but I think that in terms of sharing, I was quite generous:)

As I said before, Mepassione is a dealer, he wants to take an extra 100k$ from GTS.

You seriously need to go back and read what I have been saying.

Next car is the New GT car which has also been called the Roma 2 by another on this thread. This car is not the 812 replacement. Whilst it is under the F167 family which share some common structural parts there is going to be a enough variation so that they do not look like the same family. I will not comment on the engine.

Regarding the 812 replacement...... 2025 and yes V12.

I understand the 812 replacement launch will be at the Miami GP next year.

Funny that my official dealer let me sign a preorder for the 812 replacement half a year ago…

The SP3 is not a rebodied 812. It is based on the LaFerrari and for what it is it was good value in my view

I asked my dealer a reputable one in the UK late summer whether a deposit could be made his answer was that they were not taking deposits as yet

This sort of thing happen with the PS some dealers were taking pre orders some even deposit as well. All without the factories knowledge or ok.

Thank you. Again I’d like to repeat what I said earlier which is sharing with the audience what I got told by two different sources I am of course not in a position to validate or invalidate such claims other than sharing my own opinion in particular wrt the likelihood of that replacement being NA V12 given how many NA V12 models and engines are likely going to be pumped in the next 2/3 years.

Since you seem deeply convinced there will be a V12 replacement in 2025 and considering all other v12 in production and regulatory changes are you of the opinion that this car will be a production series car with a naturally aspirated engine?
Could it limited if that’s the case?
Or could it be v12 turbo ( smaller displacement) or supercharged if made in high volume?

If you’ve read my posts in the past years it would seem obvious to you that I am not
I explained in the past that I was invited at the launch of the GTS in Italy by my UK dealer and that I was unconvinced by the sound with the gpf and declined to order one.
Just yesterday i explained that Ferrari were going to pump thousands of 812 variants in the next two years… that would make me a terrible sales if my intention was to take 100k more out of a gts for a car that I explain is everything but as scarce as the factory initially claimed…

One has to wonder who are the people with incentives aligned to the marketing department at Ferrari in this thread based on their reactions and level of emotions…
