But even as recently as September 7, we have our own SS454 positing the following about Lewis Hamilton:
Indeed I was hoping this too because Charles was on hard tyres. Lewis tyres management is so great ! Impressive
I stand by that statement. Though I didn't say he wasn't good. Care to provide quotes in the times I've complimented him? I'll make it easy, I recently felt he was driver of the day. I agree, tire management is a strength of his. Even though he complains about tires all the time on the radio, there is no question he can maximize a set of tires.
Just because Alexander Hamilton wasn't the best politician doesn't mean he deserved to be gunned down by Aaron Burr. Some say the duel was staged. Every time I see a $10 bill I still wonder. Sent from my toilet using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Don’t try to parse it - - you have utter, vitriolic disdain and contempt for the guy. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/149304210/
It would be interesting to compare: How many times the so-called haters actually compliment Hamilton, and recognize his talent when appropriate <vs> How many times the fanboys actually criticize Hamilton, and point out his mistakes and weaknesses (certainly not interesting enough for me to do the work, mind you )
Or I just point out the facts. Even if I am not a fan, I have no problem giving him credit where it's due.
Oddly enough the fanboys hardly compliment great drives from Lewis if it isn't a win. No surprise, since most Lewis fans only see wins, poles, or championships, and nothing else. I happen to think he's killing it this season. Along with Max and Alonso, you have to say he's put in the most consistent strong performances this season.
Looks like you're not allowed to compliment him if you don't worship the very ground he walks on. This is becoming quite a tricky minefield to negotiate.
But that's the bias opinion of a Hamilton hater, someone who believes he stands as an authority. Other people are entitled to have different opinions.
LH has a good sense of humor about his own mistake in Qatar while in the cool down room watching Perez 'go for the win' lol Via BBC F1: Standing in the cool-down room before the podium ceremony, Lewis Hamilton watched the first-corner crash and knew immediately who was to blame. "Where's he going?" Hamilton said as Perez turned in, with Leclerc and Verstappen packed tight on his inside. A swear word. "He did me in Qatar," Hamilton said.
stop beating around the bush..vitrioloc disdain, lolo, so fancy, just say it as it is, he can't stand the guy....neither can i!
Yap, but Perez believes Charles should have braked earlier, lololo sure, why not play dead and park the car for him to overtake....
Norris is having a great season too! Though even by his own admission he is making little mistakes that are preventing him from a better result, usually in quali.
What is really interesting to me is the difference between Russell and Hamilton as the season has progressed. I'm not sure if it is because the team has modified the car to more suit Hamilton's strengths or he has just been better at adapting his driving to suit the car but Russell is looking much worse compared to Lewis. He is not my favorite driver (but he is my wife's favorite- something I don't criticize so I can watch the whole race in peace) but I respect his race-craft and also his consistently thanking and acknowledging the crowds when interviewed. That is something Max always has to be reminded to do. The fans really like it and it is so easy to do. I don't care if it is sincere or not. These men are racers but they are also in the entertainment business.
Hi all. Can we all just take a moment and breath. We all like some banter but it's getting a little personal. All of us are here to shoot the **** not get **** on. Have a great one!
