Are you at 3000, or 3300? I went from 3000 to 3300 within a week. Nothing fancy about my car - just 2LZ.
My car was finished over two weeks ago. It is now waiting for a truck. Some cars finished this week are already at dealerships being delivered. GM is really having a hard time figuring out their logistics. The consumer experience is awful.
i saw this Z at a c and c. it has paint chipping at the headlight area. even in late 2023 chevy hasnt corrected the issue. i guess they have chosen to just repaint and realign at the dealership level. there was a tsb sent out over a yr ago re the problem. Oh, I misunderstood. I guess my car will be built very soon and probably sit for a few months. That actually suits me given the driving season’s about over here. Also gives me plenty of time to sell my c8 - assuming that’s the route I take.
Hopefully, the back log of 23's will be finished and gone by the time your 24 is built so logistics shouldn't be a problem.
Once the dealer contacted me with an allocation it has gone very fast. Contacted on 9/23 and now I’m at 3300 with a 10/30 TPW.
As I stated much earlier. This model will follow all prior corvette pricing trends in the flipping arena. They are now below 200K and dropping. Nothing wrong about it just one of the patterns with every corvette ever made. I'm hoping to get a ride in one this winter in FL. Buy them to enjoy them!
Dealer just called and the car will be in today for PDI. I should have the car next week sometime and have about 3 - 4 weeks to break it in. The plan was to drive it home (9 hours) for break-in but office pans are going to get in the way now.
I can honestly say that about every sports car I have ever owned, but that's not the only factor in ownership. I just sold over the last 18 months both my Ferraris a 1998 BMW M Roadster supercharged and my slightly modded 2013 437 Corvette convertible. I've been starting to really explore my 2015 Carrera S, 7 speed manual. I was on a 800 mile roadtrip thru NH two weeks ago with a couple buddies and I still have a BMW M Roadster in FL. Cars are so good now it's almost impossible to find one which any normal person could come close to driving past/near it's capabilities. I'm not ready for paddles just yet, but when I am, a newer Porsche (PDK era) or Corvette C8 are to be considered.
Rumor on the vette forum with GM constraint image that Z07 wing may be severely constrained for rest of MY 24.
Very nice! Paint & tires appear to be unscathed from sitting outside in the lot down at the factory. I wonder if the dealer is going to test your battery to make sure it's up-to-snuff after sitting for so long? Anxious to hear about your initial impressions. Congrats!
I found my window sticker on c8 tracker and should have my car soon. Happened much faster than I expected.
I doubt I'll get to the five hundred mile mark before sometime next spring. I hate to say it, but I would have rather have taken delivery sometime in March or April. The only up side to taking delivery now is that if I decide to sell, most of the six month wait will have expired by the time the weather breaks. Still haven't made that decision.
Likes Seating position is very good. I have the GT2 seats and am 6'3" so happy with that. Acceleration and handling seem up to snuff but I am still within the 500 mile break-in period due to weather and low temps. Fit and finish is good, not overly great. Better than a C7 but not as good as some other, more expensive brands. Front camera is great. Paint work appears to be good Dislikes Exhaust drone is pretty bad at low rpms Car appears to lug a little at extremely low speeds Front lift has already developed a groan Can't really comment much further due to break-in and I probably won't get past that until spring. Everybody loves the color combination as you do not see it much (Silver Flare with brown interior - 2LZ).
Just checked email and Chevy says my car is on a truck and on its way. I'm going to my dealer to see if it's there.
these SR’s and Z’s are problematic. gm agreed to a buyback/exchange. i just ordered another SR. fingers crossed.
