    Righto looking for some help / suggestions with the following…

    I’m here in Dallas and it looks like my course will finish early: now on Saturday afternoon.
    I’m not flying out until Tuesday night (I have asked work to look into getting me out earlier, but I don’t like my chances).
    I have a car.
    If I stay here at the hotel I will either go mad, succumb to alcohol poisoning, or both, so I wondered what could I do instead?

    At the moment I’m toying with the idea of jumping in the car on Sunday and driving to the Space Center in Houston to do a tour and have a good look around, either coming back to Dallas Monday evening or staying an extra night in Houston and finding something else to do.
    It’s about a four hour drive each way which is fine with me.

    Has anyone been there or are there any other suggestions as to what to do with 48 hours and a car, starting in Dallas? :)

    Do it. The Space Center is fantastic. When I went there, I knew someone there and got taken "backstage" and had a climb through the shuttle trainer and had a look at the other facilities, but the public bit has everything, anyway.

    I hope you explicitly ruled out gay bars… :eek:

    I’ve now booked accomodation in Houston for Sunday night so will definitely drive there Sunday arvo and spend most of Monday at the space centre.
    Only thing is whether I drive back here after that or stay there Monday night as well.

    Knowing my luck, work will call me tomorrow to announce they’ve changed my flight to Sunday… :p
