The obvious goal is to increase fan base in the US. Netflix really added to the us viewers. 21billion isn’t enough for F1.

I will start from the premise that I prefer to see more races in the US than in some other countries.
Also, Liberty aren't daft: they know that the US has the largest motorsport audience, so potential for increased viewership.
One thing I have to say is that US organisers and promoters are the best, so no worry on that account.
With all the money invested, I wish them the succes they deserve.

Any number (pick a number) of city street races in America is too many.

Will the drivers be complaining that their cars are "pushing like a pig?"

I'm going to reserve judgement until the actual race. I remember many were critical of Baku and that track always provides ample entertainment.

Fair enough to reserve judgement on the track. But I still loath the attempt to turn F1 into a combination of the Oscars and the Grammys...with some stunt driving in between the celebrity interviews.

But that's the American way of doing things, isn't it ? The razzmatazz ...

I will only watch the race, not the foreplay . :p

I love Formula 1. But like soccer, the United States has never really warmed up to it. I don't see COTA or Miami being on the schedule five years from now.

    IMHO

Possibly because F1 never made an effort before in the US, but Liberty is trying.
Also, the absence of successful American drivers at present doesn't attract the public to F1.
But the US had 2 world champions, at least 3 teams in F1 in the past.

I just noticed the race is on Saturday 11 pm. What is the point of having a race that goes to 1 am local time??? All the spectators will get home around 3 am.

The streets of LV are being enclosed kidnaped isolated covered, Venitian and Bellagio lakes innundated with scaffolding to build stands, all with the purpose of extracting as mch money as possible from the stupid idea of a F1 race on the LV streets.... what a cluster F....k

Would you say two races in Italy is one too many as well?

I'm glad we have three GPs.

Europe bleeds F1, the US doesn't. I don't want F1 to fail in the states. But like pro soccer, It's never really caught on here.

    IMHO

Having watched everything happen in the last year, its amazing what this city can do. Everything was created and built in less than one year. Show me any city in the world that could do that.

Will there be bumps in the road? Sure. At least it appears the Union strike won't happen as of today. Seems like they will settle.
