I believe that the successor will feature 30-50 horsepower of hybrid support. We will find out next year if the individuals making such confident statements are correct.
Only those on the inside are aware of the Roma 2 project. Let’s just think about this….. If the 812 replacement is going to come before the new Roma2 why are we seeing the new Roma mules running around and not the 812 Replacement?? I thought that would be so obvious???? Ok. Just to be very clear. The car below is not the replacement of the 812. The car below is also coming before the 812 replacement. Call it what you want. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The Roma looking mute are much bigger and have a V12 in them. I have heard the V12 and seen a v12 on one with the bonnet up.
Got your point. Until now, it is "common knowledge" that the Roma panel cars are F167 mules, and in recent months the final version with disguises has appeared. However, you state with enormous conviction that the mules with Roma panels are the "Roma 2", and the one with disguises is the F167. Two different models. This would be exceptional news, as I thought the Roma mule with larger proportions and V12 is sensational (I said this in post #2060, more than a year ago). IMO, the Roma design was born to have these proportions and stance. The hypothesis of a "grand Roma V12" playing the role of a 2+2 and the F167 playing the role of the sportiest GT would be incredible. I sincerely hope that you are right in your statements.
I was told today that the coming Roma Project / Roma 2 / GT will not have a V12 at launch but the option may come later.
That's all. For the future, a BEV will arrive, Roma facelift most likely still with the V8 or V6, SF90M, 296VS, F250. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How ethical is it for day355 to leak information from the factory? Grida a Maranello, fai attenzione a chi parli
The car you're posting is exactly same unit as the one labelled "F167 Mulotipo". Even the wrap matches 100%. The car you're posting is the 812 replacement, not a Roma or Roma 2. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Doesn't seem like something we should discuss on here. This topic is not about Day355's moral compass or the ethics of leaks.
The interesting question is why Ferrari went for Roma based mulotipo as they could have used 812 as a base. The first thing that comes to my mind is the 8-speed gearbox that Roma has and 812 doesn't. Then of course the chassis of Roma is a newer one, so it could be more suitable for new features, such as PS style suspension elemements. The mulotipo appears to be a larger car than prototipo, which is of course understandable as it is a V12 car with 2+2 seats. The Prototipo which is the base for real car, has 2 seats only. Anyway, I don't really get the point for introducing "Roma2" before 812 successor. Even if they try to remove V12 bottleneck here, it all comes a bit too soon.
Sure someone will explain this better but mules don't necessarily match bodies with their corresponding chassis. In fact most possibly the mulotipo is a chassis similar to what the F167 will be with virtually any body style they'd like to stretch. They could have chosen old F12 bodies or any other, I guess front engined more convenient. Again, the chasssis underneath I'm not sure if it would be the definitive or at least very similar in terms of wheelbase, etc. But for example I mean in that mulotipo there's not necessarily 2+2 seating or even the space for more than 2 seats.
And to have a public dig at Flavio Manzoni….. This surprised me a lot. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
It’s a funny topic this….. as I personally discuss the design with Flavio recently amongst other designs…… Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I agree. I definitely didn’t get it either. Was very strange for me and I was very surprised. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
