No big news and nothing to worry about.
I have been reading this forum in the past with factory people next to me, laughing about and having fun.

Members who really know normally talk and share information “backstage” and only post part of some information with the community. And some information is never shared for obvious reasons.
I know several of them, personally. And the ammount of information that they know is the one that in reality can’t be shared.
The level of it is so high that sometimes some areas and employees inside the factory even don’t know about it, believe me please.

I am sure that frequent readers of this forum know who to trust and who to laugh about.

True. I don't know. It was just straight forward assumption based on the fact that Ferrari needs to test their experimental engine with the 8-speed gearbox that can withstand more torque than the current 7-speed unit. That overly long bonnet also suggests that it is indeed a modified Roma which now holds V12 instead of V8. Remember that F167 is supposed to have a shorter wheelbase than 812. The one in mulotipo seems pretty long to me.

This theory also blends nicely with what Condor is saying. More on that soon...

Thats what being in the public is - you have supporters and detractors - and who is Flavio Manzoni anyway ?? no one of any relevance in the greater world out there. C'mon he is just a corporate flog in a public company not some super being

I don't know what is the source of your information, but could it be that whoever informed you about this, might not have been entirely precise, although still telling the truth.

The mulotipo might not be considered as 812 successor if it is having a temporary Roma chassis.

Also, mulotipo came out before F167.

But please correct me if got it wrong. Just trying to solve the very interesting mystery here... :)

This is nothing new, Ferrari has been Watching/Monitor this website for over 10 years. Not only to monitor the flow of information and direct leaks. But having so many Ferrari owners all in one place the data they each give is incredibly valuable to all parts of Ferrari.

One does not need to be Einstein to work out that the Roma 2 has been going around far longer than any other variant which would indicate that it is coming first.

Roma « 2 » and the new V8 sportscar (new segment) are rumors for now. F167 and F250 are confirmed for 2024 by multiples sources.

For me that indicates only that Ferrari has been testing components for F167 before its chassis was finished.

You ask yourself too many questions, and you end up getting lost F167= internal code for the replacement of the 812 = V12 NA.
Roma 2 is something else !
Clearer than that, I don't know how to do it...

Ask him if he designed the Competizione !!
He is someone who has a lot of competence, but who has belatedly answered the question with the Icona series: what should a Ferrari be ?

So the latest rumor from Instagram is that F167 is with manual transmission. This is the ultimate revenge to Lamborghini, McLaren and GMA, if true. :)

This is a good question …

    The Roma 2 …

    1. is it simply the successor to the Roma?
    2. Or is it an entirely new segment model which is merely being tested with a Roma body?
    3. Is it something like a Portofino?
    4. Will it offer a manual gearbox ?
    5. Will it be naturally aspirated, TTV8, or hybrid ?
    6. What driving occasion or purpose will it be designed to optimize?
    7. Is this the ‘pure Ferrari’ hinted at by Ferrari?
    8. If it is … WTF does that mean exactly ?

If they really valued what was said by everyone on this web site … they would offer a regular production mid engine V12. Are you reading this Ferrari?

But they are Ferrari they don't do anything regular lol (there is slim hope with the Roma Project down the line to have a version with one.
But given V12 production is pretty much at max they wouldn't have the units to do a regular production one anyway.

Let's recap. Ferrari has three prototype phases:
    Muletto, Mulotipo and Prototipo.

    https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/magazine/articles/the-unseen-jewels-ferraris-special-sales-programme

"But what exactly does Ferrari mean by ‘prototype’? These are, essentially, development vehicles that enable the testing of new technologies, like engines, suspension, aerodynamics and – significantly for the future development of Ferrari – new electrification systems. Prototypes are the result of a multi-phase development process that starts with what Ferrari calls a Muletto (“little mule”). ‘Piggybacking’ on existing models whose architectures match as closely as possible that of the car being developed, the muletto serves to test a new car’s single components, such as the powertrain, brakes, suspensions, or hybrid systems.

The next phase is the Mulotipo, basically the completed new car with all the new components but ‘wearing’ a body that is not the final one, but rather an adaptation of that of the ‘piggyback’ model. This allows the car to be tested on open roads, whilst protecting its final shape. Finally, we reach the actual Prototipo (prototype), the car in its final form, both in terms of mechanical components as well as interior and exterior. "

Ferrari is greater than any one man. Designers come and go. Presidents come and go. We love Ferrari and are passionate about what it represents and as such provide our wealth to the company so it can continue to exist. The average person out there cannot comprehend what we are about. There is nothing on the planet like waiting on your new Ferrari especially a V12.

We also pay to post on this site. Some here are shills for the brand or a person in the company who knows why (puppy love?). All of us appreciate this site and the information and candor it provides. As far as the factory monitoring this site, ever wonder why you have followers here by users with cryptic names and no posts - now you don't have to wonder.

This site works both ways for the brand. Leaks can be monitored or supplied to push a narrative but also ramp up the speculation on reveals so the price can be optimized for maximum return. In the end, all news is good news for a public company. Silence will kill sales.
