Ask Carl if he knows more about the 996s, I had one as a company car when they 1st came out but before any upgrades. PS the 996 Gen cars WERE stiffer than my 993Rs in construction.
IMO Simon, I'd be moving on one your classic and buying Porker 911 for some of the runs. I got in Tassie 27mpg,no issues ,wonderful long distance cars and tough in the mechanics .
Until the 996 IMS explodes. Having said that, I’d buy a low km 996 3.6 and do the IMS upgrade AND get a scope down to check the bores etc. I quite like the fried egg headlights. Then I’d, put some replica Fuchs on, replace the centre piece of the seats with houndstooth and add a duck tail spoiler
True dat,it's still gunna look and sound like a veedub on steroids. I did reeealy like that pastel blue one I put up a few months' ago though.
Simon, don't buy on cheap price, buy the best you can afford ..You'll be ideal for one with the ks you do ..
