What is the plan for the 308 in the body shop?

 

Hopefully correct the awful colour coded bumpers

 

Plus repair the bumper damage which has the race tap stuck on it and repair the outside mirror hanging by a single thread.

 

General tidy up (21 years of general road rash, track days, motorkhanas, events like Targa Tas and GBR, plus transport to Adelaide, Perth, Melb and damage from previous storage when I was in HK working etc). Cars were being housed by the bodyshop for me while I was in Italy, so I took the chance for a refresh.

Perhaps more, my Carrera 3.0 when i bought it had done 250,000kms with the motor never pulled down

 

The 911 impressed me on the trip, as they always bloody well do.
I'm thinking of keeping the old RS3 as a 'boys trip' car, or as Horse recommends, sell it and get something else before the klms drive the value into the ground.
I've been looking at the TTRS's . I really like them.

 

They are very quick in a straight line, and have that amazing five cylinder engine, however all road reports and reviews say they are not hardcore and understeer like crazy when pushed. Check out all the YouTube videos.

I have looked at them a lot.

A common observation is that they are 60/40 weighted front to rear which seems to affect their handling.

 

To be honest, I need to learn how to drive it, as a number of times it understeered,Google tells me they need in the 991s more tow-out .to correct that issue .

I don't think you can go past those 400hp odd hot hatches like the RS3 or A45 ,they do it so well.

Awesome getting to spend more days with you ,TBH the 1st time I met you on a previous GAD , I thought the 1st night WTF is this guy on about ,soon found out your a fun guy .Catcha around .

One hot guy-well kinda ,I have been known to break up marriages.

 

I did the 1st day of 4-day drive yesterday in VIC, 300km apart from the Freeways all the roads that were once 100 are NOW 80 and in shocking condition,I doubt I will ever do another drive in VIC IMO is a waste of time,I don't have an issue in the ALPS or the B500 being 80kph, but rural roads BS, rather go to Tassie or travel to NSW.

 

How many Kms in total and whom is still with you ?
