Zero support races. Really poor value for money - and poor entertainment for those of us who want to see racing and not celebrities (99% of which I wouldn't even know...).
Yes and the next problem spot is turn two with the pit exit in a very tight corner; imagine two cars battling each other on warm tires arriving to find one exiting the pits in the turn one left hander slowly skating around right on the racing line at the end of the turn two right hander...as they merge...or collide.
It seems strange to me that the FIA homologates the circuit, knowing the pitfalls. In the past, to be certified for GPs, a circuit had first host an international race the year before under the FIA observation, to validate the layout, the installations, the rescue and medical facilities, etc ... Here, at Las Vegas everything is brand new and untested. F1 is really cutting corners ...
The section of the s/f area and turn 1 are on undeveloped land, they could have been laid out differently.
Yes, how times have changed. I don't recall a test race at the Miami circuit either (I could be wrong).
I think this new "system", for lack of a better word, dates from when F1 started to visit countries that had absolutely no international footprint in motor racing like Malaysia, Azerbijan, Russia, Qatar, Bahrain, etc ... They never had a circuit that hosted a world championship race of any kind, and the FIA had to relax its rules for their first GP. That also allowed the proliferation of street circuits.
Donnie Osmond, who has been a Vegas headliner for maybe 30 years and still performs several days a week at the Flamingo, is the opening ceremony singer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm in turn 6 near the top of the stands. Should have a pretty good view of 6, 7, 8 and maybe 9. Hopefully the Sphere is turned into a giant TV screen of the race.

It's all gonna come down to the soft tires for the race since the track will be cold. How much softs do you use for FP1,2,3 and qualifying and how much softs do you need for the race? That's the gamble.
The spot yes, the seat itself, not so much. Looks like the same seat we had in zandvoort with the same atrocious legroom
