That's a US car. This one looks to not be US spec.

Correct this is an RoW "euro-spec" car originally delivered in Japan.

Now in Canada. Would require federalization to take it to the US until it's 25 years old.

I just purchased an Argento 2005 MY here in Japan, hence why I was curious. Still waiting delivery.

Japan goes by first registration. It's most likely a 2004 car that was first registered in 2005.

Probably a very late build CS. What's the last 6 of the VIN?

Just found it on the registry. It's a 2004.

Also might be a lost in translation issue in regards to first registration. Might be the first date of inspection which takes place when selling a new car. I'm assuming it was registered much earlier. Apparently it was the only Argento in Japan.

Speaking of Japanese cars I've always been fascinated by this yellow-over-blue example. Carta da Zucchero to be exact?

Carta da Zucchero with whats looks like yellow sticking. When the leather is clean this color is very deep and can look blue or grey or violet within a very short time period. Its very nice. But when dirty (look at the shine on that drivers seat) its not a very nice color.

For whatever the reasons, the CS auctions have always fallen short of what we as owners think they should be. We’ll see where this one goes. I would love to see it over $300 but I think $270-$280 is more likely , including buyers fee

The way I see it, the lower prices go, the higher my chance of acquiring a second one is =)

We have some uniquely specced 360s here. Most were red. The Japanese feel all Ferraris should be red
A lot of cars are falling short lately. Interest rates extremely high and recession looming. I would say 250-270 which is still a great price. A week to go.

I love that in Japan they also specced a lot of white ones because of the significance of that color there. Lovely cars. Where do you live over there?

I am up north in Hokkaido. Yes, they love white cars. I almost bought an STO and the dealer told me white would be easiest to sell in the future. If a white CS was for sale I would have bought it. We had a white one for sale last year but I was still trying to sell my other car.

I hope you’re wrong. Anybody who lets a CS with this kind of mileage go for less than 300 will regret it

Normally, I am ok with 5 owners over a 10 to 20-year period, assuming the car has been serviced property based on Ferrari's schedule. In this case, Carfax is showing 11 owners. Some are probably title changes for geography. Ok, then we are below 11. But, how much below 11?? There are some issues with the CS and manifold heat soak issues. If the car has a decade of spirited use and then the driver keeps the engine compartment closed after each time, the manifold can possibly crack and small bits of the manifold can fall into the engine. Infrequent but has happened. So always check the manifold quality and ask the seller what they think about getting heat out of the engine bay. Buyer needs to test for compression also during the PPI.
