Track is junk on the strip. Plainly obvious from the in car cam. Destroyed Ferrari chassis for Carlos. You’d think the FIA would have had that caught and fixed before risking a driver’s safety and car damage.

Carlos was walking through pit lane and looked ok.
The straight on the strip had a massive bump or drain cover issue right on the racing line. The on board showed a very noticeable violent bump on the straight

Was hoping this would go a lot better than this…

I had the Chinese chicken salad. Not bad. People are in a pretty good mood but this track thing is worrisome. I wonder if they will stop for the evening and resume tomorrow.

If the ESPN report true loose drain covers I could weld on down in 10mins. If track bumps ripped floor off sainz" that's a bigger problem. Can rideheight be raised enough?

No kidding. Like for the billions involved why have a guy taking care of stuff like that. More important to do special Vegas livery and wedding chapels!

I think they were just speculating. Surely they graded and secured drain covers. Surely.

Thankfully for Carlos, he let off before he hit the cover due to a yellow flag. Not sure what the yellow flag was for unless they noticed the drain cover before he hit it

The porpoising after hitting it was severe. I can’t imagine it’s simply a manhole cover not welded down. The entire section in the overhead looks shaved as if it’s a structural issue with the pavement and drains.
