Track offered racing. Better than Singapore overall. Should start a bit earlier and Liberty needs to refund that Practice mess!
Was very attractive to watch on screen this morning!

 

Fred is another league compared with Binotto.

Fun race. Very good recovery. Leader didn’t just run away with it by 30 seconds. Good side-by-side. I give the track a thumbs up.

Crappy opening ceremony. Super Bowl much?

Rough start to the racing weekend.

Interesting observations for me. Thought camera angles limited. No cable cams. Cams on pedestrian bridges. Down the straight aways. Fans were no where in sight of the camera outside of the paddocks! Felt less interactive, almost sterile. Beautiful backdrop with the Vegas skyline. The Sphere is crazy amazing. WTF is a bollard doing standing in a turn??? More fan shots and not 2nd and 3rd tier names please. As worthless as that bollard. Except for Shaq. Who doesn’t like Shaq.

 

I am not kidding at all.
I was talking compared with a Red Bull during a RACE..

The race was great...the track proved to be excellent. Charles and Carlos both did the best they could...and I wonder how things would have gone if Carlos had started from P2. I don't think Max could be beaten, but it could have been 2 Ferraris on the podium. Hopefully next year will be in daylight. The post race driving around in the Rolls and the fountain and lites was a waste of time...the interviews could have been done on the pit lane by the cars. But that's Vegas, all the hotels got their nanosecond in the spotlight.

 

Comparing quali and race pace -- not just Ferrari, but also Alfa and Haas --- I swear they turn those Ferrari engines WAY down for the race.

Chuck got shafted by that SC .... caused by Russel and Max.
And Ferrari had a couple of bad pit stops.

But kudos for Chuck to get what he did out of a bad situation.

I think Carlos was a bit demoralized. I was hoping he could get around Russel, but he was stuck in a DRS train.

And Ferrari is still hard on its tires.


So ..... how will Ferrari manage to avoid getting Constructor's P2 in Yabba Dabi?

 

he did exactly as asked...dial it back to 2.5 seconds so perez could get the slip, perez still failed.

I think you need to rewatch that. Max is on the inside, completely alongside, heading for the kerb and gives acres of room...then Russell does his usual and turns in on him.

have to say the race really came alive with the SC's.

As someone else said, change the times a little bit when the race is on and this could be pretty decent.

 

I think all the experts were wrong about this track. Aside from a rain race, has there been one with more passing in years? And the speeds the highest?

As a person in the stands it was really fun. The fans are yelling for Max, then another group for Charlie when he passed, then another group for Perez, then back to Charlie etc etc.

 

As a promotion for the city of Vegas as a tourist destination, it has to be a night race…. The backdrop looks 100x better there all lit up at night.

Also night race is good TV time for Europe audience.

I think just during a warmer month would be better. No cold tires.

One of the best performances of the year for the Scuderia.

Max…….eff fishface. Hated him when he first came into the sport. Then he seemed to mature after his crash in Monaco. Now, he’s a horrible teammate. Talks sh*t on Vegas and the whole event. Then wants to be cool about it because he won. Nah brah……..get the eff out of our town before you get dropped.

 

In my stands it was all for ferrari or Perez. Max talking trash about Vegas got boos from my stand. I think during drivers parade Perez got the most and loudest applause.

 

Fall is perfect. Cool weather for the fans. Other times can be 100F at midnight.

 

Yup! Great race. Great show. It was fun.

 

I should also add in case you didn't hear it on the comms, Max even told Checo to follow him and sit in his tow...
He played the team game but Leclerc did a lovely send.
