Good for them. Hey Liberty get those refunds out to those RIPPED OFF on Thursday!! F1 fans tear down view-blocking screens during Las Vegas GP Formula 1 fans watching the Las Vegas Grand Prix tore down controversial track view-blocking screens along the public areas of the city’s famous Strip during the race, Autosport has learned.
More positive feedback -- Hamilton dismisses Vegas F1 criticism after "better race than most" Lewis Hamilton has dismissed criticism surrounding Formula 1's return to Las Vegas after it delivered an enthralling race that was "better than most tracks we go to".
If we can dismiss the circus around the GP, race wise the track and the race weren't bad. The long straights and sharp corners were appreciated for overtaking opportunities. The start line could be put a few hundred yards behind to allow the field to stretch before the 1st corner.
That was a fun race to watch! Shout out to The Mayor, Fat Billy Bob, Joe and anyone else I missed. The commentary on Fchat is better than any ESPN blah blah. Nothing like boots on the ground to get a sense of the place! Thank you all!!!
Got to have characters to intensify the drama. The guy is on until the current game is over. He becomes a bit more personable for a short time and then resets for the next race. Again, Ferrari is getting the best results for their business with their F1 team being competitive, selling a lot of cars at mind bending prices to start, stabbing and grabbing from their customers for options and then providing owners lots of opportunities to have their cars back in the shop to deal with warranty issues. OK, back to Max, I just think he sees Mr. Perez as another weak competitor. If I were to guess he respects Mr. Hamilton and is just taking every opportunity he can to meet/exceed the 7 time world champion's record (which takes focus and is unlikely due to Ford joining in the Red Bull scene).
I love it. I wish all the drivers would speak their minds good or bad instead of just mindlessly playing corporate shills. It would bring emotion and soul back to the sport. These guys are risking their lives, they should at the very least feel free to speak their minds. Besides when you win as much as Max you can talk all the **** you want. No one can touch him this season. He’s unstoppable.
I just finished watching my recording . Very good race but I can’t help but wonder what the results would have been if not for two critical official interventions: Sainz’s grid penalty and the soft penalty on Max for the turn one incident.
That was a pretty good race actually. Pity that the hotels can't turn on their full lights, that would make it look so much better. The Eifel tower needs to be lit. Oh well. Looking forward to see this race as a regular on the calendar. I was wondering whether we see any track changes for next year. Given where the permanent F1 paddock is, they could move the track away from the strip if they wanted to/had to. My only gripe was the silly tour to the Bellagio fountain after the checkered flag. WTF?
You are correct that Russell has the same spatial awareness as Stroll and Ray Charles. I'm just surprised to hear Russell finally admit fault for once.
