I have it and amoung the very curious books Dalton published recently, this is probably the best. Even if I'm not interested at all by the topic, I'm considering keeping it.

I’m thinking it’s the same, but we’ll have to wait and see.
With the holiday season upon us, and with Michael Mann's and Adam Driver's soon to be released movie "Ferrari" approaching, David Bull Publishing is proud to present three new offerings of Luca Dal Monte's definitive biography of Enzo Ferrari.

Drawing on years of original research conducted in Italy and abroad, author (and Ferrari insider) Luca Dal Monte uncovers a wealth of new facts about Enzo's origins, ambitions, business practices, and private life. This is truly the definitive biography of Enzo Ferrari, one that makes previous accounts obsolete. Its depth, scale, and detail make it essential reading for automotive and motorsports enthusiasts.

As I already paid for the Publisher’s Edition, I just upgraded to the Premium Publisher’s Edition. In for a penny, in for a pound!

    Nailed it!

It wasn’t much more than a month ago that Porter Press (in their monthly newsletter) was claiming that it would be publishing this book with Doug Nye being brought in to finish up. Now, Bull is once again in the mix. If this book ever gets published I’ll be surprised. If it’s being rushed through now I’d just as soon it never sees the light of day.

So I'm a bit confused, is this new Dal Monte just an updated version of his previous book or an all new book with completely different wording ?

I bought the original version for EUR 50,-- , which was excellent value. Some may like them, but I couldn't care less for the 'Collector's-, Publisher's-, Collector's Premium Edition, or whatever they call them.

I sincerely hope Bull can survive as a small independent publisher, which we need., but I can’t support them on this one. Maybe if they’d reduce the price and forget about including an extra copy of the “standard” edition I might be willing to take a splash, but, as someone who bought a first printing from Bull, why would I want to end up with three copies of the same book?

Luigi Chinetti Jr., a.k.a. Coco, just told me a few days ago that he has split up with/separated from Bull (re the NART book) and they are not gonna do it.

    Unreal.

So, did he say why the splitup, and what the plan is? This whole episode has been a cockup. I doubt this book will ever be published.

Very disappointing, but also not surprising given how C____ can be to deal with. I'd love to have a good book on N.A.R.T. but looks like it won't happen.

The other notables in similar relationships with Ferrari….Swaters, Pozzi and, to a lesser degree, Hoare…have all had their stories told. Chinetti towers over all of them in terms of his impact on Ferrari, yet most of that has never been explored in a single book. After all the drama, what publisher would take this on?

Scuderia/Georges Filipinetti, and Scuderia Veloce/David McKay, as well.

Chinetti/NART: As long as Jr is still alive nothing is gonna happen.
In the meantime there's Terry O'Neil's NART book by Veloce Publishing.

Yes, I have O’Neill’s book. In fact I reviewed it at www.speedreaders.info It’s a good reference work but not the comprehensive story of the man, the business and the racing team that many want to read.
