Ferrari all the way Gordon’s car might be incredible but I can’t get past the fact it’s freaking ugly!

I was just thinking the same thing. To my eyes a very uninspired, almost lazy design, Porsche-like. I'm sure he deliberately wanted a minimum of everything but for that coin I want art, otherwise I'd just buy art.
SP3 is the most amazing Ferrari ever built. The design is going to be timeless. Why would you even consider T33?
According to F-Chat subscriber U-Boat Commander : FYI, the T.50s prototype XP1, the T.33 Spider show car and the first production T.50 will all be at the Pebble Beach car week coming up next month. There will be a "public" viewing at The Quail event.
On Aug 14 2023, the first T.50 customer car for U.S. and T.33 Spider were unveiled at Canepa Motorsports (GMA dealer in US) during the Monterey Car Week 2023 in California. Shown in one of the photo are Professor Gordon Murray CBE, Bruce Canepa, GMA CEO Phillip Lee and Dario Franchitti MBE. The T.50, T.50s Niki Lauda and the T.33 coupe are all sold out. T.33 Spider are ~ 4 left (according this article from like a week ago). https://www.autoweek.com/news/a44789211/us-spec-gordon-murray-t33-spiders-left-for-sale/
The best would be owning both the Daytona and the T.50. But if only one it has to be the Daytona. The T.50 will be a special car, the last analog hypercar. It will be interesting to see in 20 years which one increased the most in value.
Not a real question. Anyone that would ever get invited to any SP Ferrari car would never be choosing between cars… they’d have all the ones they wanted… That said, you’re comparing apples and oranges. The SP3 is a collectors car. The T33 is designed to be a drivers car
What makes you think the SP3 is not a drivers car? Have you driven it? Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
I think the T33 is fantastic looking.. perfect in many ways to my taste.. but the styling is understated (in a good way) to the extent that you could park it at your local grocery store while you’re running your daily errands and 99.9% of people will have no clue what it is beyond a “nice car” along the lines of the latest 911’s and Aston Martins. The SP3 is no doubt a fantastic driving car, but the styling is pure theater designed for car shows and to be the centerpiece of a collection…. Not something for the grocery store where you would come back to people queuing up to take photos with it.
I admire both T33 and T50. However they are not great looking designs, at least to my eyes. The fact that a car is unattractive doesn’t make it a drivers car. The engineering and performance convey that title and I am certain both are terrific drivers cars in that respect. However we should not excuse average looks by saying “it is a driver’s car”. “Drivers” want to drive great cars that also look great if possible! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Yes but I think styling can also define how something is used. A tuxedo is a fantastic choice for fine dining and walk into the casino in Monte Carlo….. but you wouldn’t wear it the next morning to the tennis courts.
