On my lonesome now, Nambucca Heads tomorrow, then home the next day. It will be over 8,000kms Fabulous car, every enthusiast should have one. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I should have tagged on for the S.A part. Great drive 8,000kms . 2025 again Tassie and perhaps an after-rally? Already -working on Tassie , over time I'll send out a questionnaire about re-accommodation as down Coles Bay there are some "Fab" resorts to stay at, we all agreed the 2 nights in one spot works well Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep, I’m in. Think we will do 10 to 14 days after in Tassie and then take 7 to 10 to drive home, Metung, Merimbula, maybe Jindabyne etc Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
That would work and then us VICs could turn around at Jindabyne for home . How many nights in Tassie are we thinking ? I'd still do Stanley via Cradle Mountain road and 2 nights and one day to travel down the West coast and back, Hobart and Brunie island, lap of the Port Arthur peninsula and Coles bay/Freycinet,Richmond and cross the Tamba river via the bridge
For the AMOT 7 seemed to work well, we’d do another 10 to 14 with the girls. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Perfect -get off the ferry and avoid Melbourne ,do the ferry to Sorrento then down Gippsland to Metung.-great back roads that come out at Sale . Happy to plot that run to Metung .
I’m home. 8,000kms On the highway for the last 2,200ks averaged 9.3 l/100, which is quite amazing. Godzilla, like Horse (and the Clubby) is now a dead man’s car. Roll on the drives next year. You guys whom don’t join us are mad. Thanks to Whom for a really enjoyable trip. It was very well organised. I had a great time. Ended up doing 2,881 kms. Averaged 19 mpg which I thought was good since it struggles to better 23 if you drive it in a straight line at 100 km/h. Finally managed to clean the car and give it a check over. What I thought was a RHR damper failure (a soft sounding "clunk" on rebound) ended up being a loose lower damper bolt. Tightened that and checked the other side which was also beginning to loosen. I changed the Nylocs. It appears they were original to the car. Apart from that, vacuumed the interior, topped up the oil and screen washer and it's good to go. I was surprised how much muddy sand came out of the wheel aches however. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
