812 Replacement Rumors

If the above car is the actual one..I’m in between about keeping the current gts vs trying to go for the F167. Especially if it’s all digital tech.
I think there’s a lot of people who didn’t get in on the current 812 early that want this to the perfect final V12. Very curious what will turn up.

 

Not convinced the entire "final v12" mantra is going to work on F167. Did I misunderstand or is Euro 7 or whatever and efuels now so watered down that we can probably look forwards to years of new V12s?

That launch looks too stable for a RWD car with 800hp+ but then again the 296 has the same power levels and is also that stable from a launch.

Great launch- the front overhang in the video is still a bit more than I would prefer but Ferrari continues to design these cars with too much front overhang(the SP1&2 are the exceptions)- it necessitates a front lifter which adds weight and complexity to the front suspension and cost

Eh. Looks like the typical 812 dogshit launch control lurch we've all gotten used to. Looks as bad as it feels though.

 

Final? What about the Aperta, then Comp, then Comp Aperta, then all the custom one-offs? Same roadmap as the 812 could make this last a long time.

My dealer plus regional sales director all say V12 not a hybrid - having seen your comments above which come across as statements of fact, I assume you are better wired into the Ferrari network. In fact, you seem to have strong opinions across the board. I’d be curious to know the sources of your information and also your impression of the V12s you own and the positive and negative impressions of them that perhaps lead to some of your views.

I think there will be a hybrid technology similar to Laferrari, Ferrari tried this in 599. I would be really surprised if the F167 does not become a hybrid.

 

the tone is muffled in the 167 maybe it was a bad recording. however even if it is electrified the V12 should still sound good only when it is turbocharged is the sound muffled which is what that video sounded like... and we know the V12 isn't going to be turbocharged so it's probably a bad recording.

 

I have spoken to 2 dealers as well, both have confirmed normally aspirated V12, and Launch in Miami in May.

 

Do you have any information about engine power?

I missed - but not too unhappy as getting the T33 Spider and hopefully the performance version.

 

Graham told me we should hear about the third version of the T33 in "the middle of next year". I too am getting the Spider.
