Try turning air con on and off five or six times (worked for me). Alternatively check oil level - if it’s lower you sometimes get a ticking/whirring noise.
Thanks bro, I just drove it again and realised sound happens only when the aircon is on....wonder if it's due to the flaps and could claim warranty for this. Thank you
Pleasure - turn it on and back off a few times and it settles it (sometimes). Sure they will look at under warranty - you can only ask! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Both my SF and GTS have it- only in motion and pitch changes with speed. Doesn’t bother me as the engine and exhaust sounds overwhelm it. The last time I heard this was from the odometer cable in my 1984 Z28 Camaro! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Comes and goes. Not bad enough to special dealer trip but will next time am there! Let me know if you find anything additional if they check it for you?
Only suggestion I can make, after I experienced a clicking sound from the engine whilst driving ....... is to check the oil level. Turned out I was running low on oil and the sound disappeared after a proper check and top up.
Turned off the aircon this morning and had a blast along the highway - just realised there's outside air coming in from the central aircon vents or at least what really felt like it. No whirring sound and only pure V12 exhaust heaven!
If there is no warranty left on the car, could you still push the dealer to address the leaking intake manifold or the warped rear diffuser because they are clearly due to a manufacturing defect?
My 2019 812 SF has developed small cracks in the headlights, on the outside edges, towards the front of the lights. Has anyone else had this issue?
Oh, and my USB ports aren’t working, cameras don’t always come on when required, and there’s a slight whirring sound developed……. In to the dealership I think. My oil levels were fine when I checked them.
Thanks for replying, I’ll take some photos tomorrow. The car has an extended full manufacturer’s warranty that runs until early next year, but on a brief previous inspection Ferrari said they would not be covered, as they appeared to have been “damaged by an impact” which is nonsense. The cracks have only appeared this year. The whirring sounds like it’s coming from the engine….. I’ll try and get a video.
Let us know how you get on at the Dealership. My 2019 812SF has been into workshop, 3 times in the last 3 months, for a front/rear camera intermittent issue and so far no specific fault could be identified, Investigations included direct involvement of factory checking vehicle data, but no conclusion/solution as yet ..... so probably just another issue to live with !
Since the brake fluid reservoir cover change + software update, my cameras do strange things. When i open and start the car, all works fine. When i stop and leave the car without locking the car, start it again, it sometimes (50%) happens that both cameras do not work. I have to stop the engine, lock and unlock the doors, then start again and mostly (90%) all cameras works fine. I have the fear, that it has something to do with the software update. Dealers says no. Daniel
Funny you say that. I have had the same gremlins lately. Car is going in soon for its annual and I will have them address it. Not a big deal, just a tiny but annoying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
After this began, it was empty for 1 time because i forgot the battery tender. In April, when the 2024 season starts, i will put in a new one. It's the first battery from June 2019, car has now 2300 Km. Daniel
mine has also developed this intermittent problem with the cameras. Very odd. Pressing the home button on the left side console then pressing the camera button sometimes fixes it. Sometimes it does not. Dealer said they can’t find any fault and also said a few so this. Problem only started this year. Had the car for four years. Odd.
Mine only started this year too, hadn’t far for 3 years. It goes in tomorrow to the dealer, I’ll let you know what they say.
fyi.... mine has visited Maranello (in UK) workshop 3 times now, for intermittent camera issue, so far without success. Not always having parking cameras is a big deal for me as I've already covered 12k miles in the last 6 months. The times they don't work is usually when I'm in spaces surrounded by low walls, raised kerbs etc On the last workshop visit, the factory suggested a software download, but the car wouldn't take it ?! Look forward to hearing how you get on.
I had this in my f12 rear camera sometimes goes blank. Fix is to recheck the grounding wires it was as simple as that but took 3 trips
Always a possibility with any electrical problem. Grounds are mostly not run in the harnesses relying on the chassis to complete the circuit. Connectors, breakers, fuses and ground straps cause a lot of problems especially if you start replacing other things first.
Same intermittent issues with the camera, not sure what’s going on. Apart from that, NO ISSUES AT ALL. It is a big surprise to me, as I had quite a few glitches with F8 that shares a lot in common with 812.
