I need new rubbers. Are these independent of the headlights? And are they easy to fit?? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The fit is dependent on 2 things. How badly wadded up they are in the packaging and for how long. How intact, if at all the preglued portion is. Worse case is its fussy, takes patience and time and needs to be manually glued in small portions at a time. Taking the headlight out of the car so it can be done on the bench is easy if it comes to that.
Try as I might to keep these packed sensibly and without the adhesive gluing itself to everything nearby, they're a PITA. These are probably best described as something you'll install 'slow and steady', but not terribly complicated. https://www.ricambiamerica.com/65515200-rh-light-gasket-550-575m.html and https://www.ricambiamerica.com/65515300-lh-light-gasket-550-575m.html
Timely post, I'm in the same boat with an F430. Once they come loose, or if you want to transfer them to a different headlight, any recommendation to 're-seat' them? Or they need to be replaced? @Rifledriver , you mentioned 'manually glued', what adhesive do you recommend? Thank you!
I know this isn't an F430 thread, just a heads up, this is what they look like Image Unavailable, Please Login
They firm up the seal so there is no movement, but also, and more importantly, yes, prevent water from coming in. There are some electronics down below which you wouldn't want water seeping in to Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
