Check this thread out men. What a talented old fella. Dunno about his colour choices on that engine lol, but his car and he can do whatever he wants with it. My 83 QV Resto | FerrariChat
The 575 had some play in the steering which was becoming a bit more noticeable last year or so. The outer tie rod ends were replaced about a year ago and not much diff afterwards. The dealer recommended replacing or rebuilding the rack. New rack if you can find it is $7k. Ferrari being Ferrari don’t list the inner tie rods as a spare part, new rack only I found a supplier in the US whom sent me 2 inner tie rods, new rubber boots and correct clips etc. The tie rods are a new manufactured part built to spec and made in Italy. Rainy day here in Sydney so I started pulling apart the passenger side. No surprise, the inner tie rod was completely worn with a stupid amount of play I’ll put the new one in tomorrow if i get some time then dismantle the other side next weekend. Do you want to buy my 360 for cheap mate’s rate $250k and do your thing and I can buy it back as usual price after?
Greg will this be part of the "Bundle" of Ferrari cars from the SC/FNQ that Jon will be selling in the future ?
Good work Malaka, Ford Territory inner rack ends fit the 550/575 also. Someone in the US on Fchat near 10 years ago was chasing a set like yourself. He posted up the measurements and I matched them up a set off Ford Territory. I purchased genuine Ford ones and posted them out to him and he fit them and they worked well. I think all up was around $260 Aussie for both rackends and postage to LA. I’m still trying to find an alternative for my 348, the rh inner rack end is flogged like my arsehole.
Yeah, I found a generic set locally and ordered them, they were about that sort of money but when they arrived they were a bit longer and stamped “Made in Taiwan”. **** that, bought these instead, remanufactured part specific for Ferrari models and made in Italy. Have a look at his other stuff, you might find what you need https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/303949192425?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=qpisd29jRHW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=JEOODXOwS56&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Edit: if you think the other ones I bought might fit your 348, happy to send them to you gratis
