2.6 seconds 0-60. $100k https://www.motor1.com/news/698731/tesla-cybertruck-horsepower-range-specs/ This feels like a game changer - a pickup that outruns and outhandles a lot of sports cars. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Apparently it’s agile. Jason Cammisa raced a go-kart. And yes, it’s hideous. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Very fast on a straight line but….cannot handle like a sports car, cannot go fast like a sports car on winding roads, is completely and totally ugly, cannot go very fast multiple times without losing its charge, does not have a real engine that requires so much knowledge and is an art in itself, etc… I don’t want one, absolutely no interest in it.
Brilliant engineering. Looks ......that is something that may look better on Mars or on a battlefield.
That’s what I assumed, but watch the second video by Cammisa. Range is 340 miles, and he pushes it on a track and compares quarter mile times. Not a race car, but apparently impressive. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
It has to be quick out of necessity because it's so FUGLY it has to sprint from hiding space to hiding space to avoid ridicule.
If you wondered why it looks the way it does. It also answers a question posed by Musk’s son Saxon, “Why doesn’t the future look like the future?” Saxon had asked his father... Musk, speaking with his design team at Tesla: “I want the future to look like the future.”
Just saw it at Tesla’s Buena Park service center. There should be another at UTC in San Diego for viewing. Only 11 Tesla dealerships in the U.S have it on display. Sickest looking ugly car I have ever seen. I’m definitely buying one .
Same here. Not into the looks, but really impressed with the capabilities and engineering. Maybe it will get the the truck mfct's to step up their game. I've been trying to hold off as I have a reservation from two years ago, but looks like I'll be landing in a Lightning until my number comes up. The Lightning only bc it's the only EV pickup w/ good hands free cruise control that will cost me under $70k with 320 miles of range. If it was the Tesla truck, I'd pony up the extra $10k for the middle trim.
Looks like a 5 year old was the designer. When it first came out I thought it was a joke. Still butt ass ugly!
Ugly, but unique. Name another pickup that would gather a crowd. And whatever the looks the engineering is impressive. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
spotted today in Monterey with MFG plates. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Saw a couple getting shipped in Irvine a few days ago. If you do a search, someone posted a video of the cyber truck, towing a 911, beating another 911 in a drag race. I have no need for a pickup. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Once the after-market rack options are out, you can kinda manipulate the triangular shape of the car to something a bit more normal. The potential is gonna be pretty sick. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Real talk for a minute. Some of engineering design and advances in the Cybertruck (e.g., no fuses, cross wiring, etc.) hopefully trickles down to the rest of the Tesla line, and eventually percolates to the rest of the EV industry, if not entire car industry. Because, as it is, the Cybertruck is truly an engineering marvel. Just the windshield wiper is deserving of a Mech Engineering Ph.D. dissertation. Looks aside, the Cybertruck is not something that should be lightly dispensed with as just another "Elon Musk affectation". It's a game changer. And we should all pay attention and be thankful for it.
