What are the chances of locking in an F167 for a very new Ferrari customer? Only car on the resume is the Roma (2021). Have been enjoying that car immensely but am quite optimistic for the next V12. Do different dealerships have different wait times?
I departed to early from my 812 for personal reasons and I'm already looking to get the F167.....I really hope will "match my desire" and can't wait to know more about it! I really miss my V12....
It's completely unclear at this stage. I was in a similar position to you until I bought an F12 this summer. The theory goes that if it's similar to the Purosangue then you will probably need to own a V12 Ferrari of some kind but although I've placed an "expression of interest" deposit with my dealer, allocation is of course not guaranteed and they've specifically told me that they don't know if the factory will dictate any specific requirements (likely) to the dealers of what profile of customer is allowed to buy one or not. My personal belief although it may prove to be incorrect is that as it is a regular series production car, people with a limited purchasing history will possibly be able to get one although it will be much later in the production run (assuming they are made for that long). My expression of interest order form indicated an estimated delivery date of 2027. The dance will be around bigger dealerships will have bigger "TOP" or "VIP" customers that will get an early allocation so people like us will be further down the queue, but also the bigger dealerships probably get more cars than some tiny dealer in the middle of nowhere so maybe it all evens out? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Best chance at this stage in my opinion is to contact your dealer and ask if they are taking deposits for the 812 replacement yet and if so put one down, which is why I did exactly that yesterday XD
Not having ever purchased a new Ferrari and with only a 328 GTB in my history, I think my chances of an allocation are somewhere between zero and slim but I'm going to call my dealer anyway as it sounds like the F167 will be everything that I would ever desire in a car, one to take to the grave.
Someone who last bought an F12 10 years ago cannot buy an F167. I guess you don't know Ferrari. (You can pre-order, anyone can)
So if indeed we will be seeing the next level electronic suspension, it would be cool to now electronicmagnetohydraulically dial in a suspension setting for any past vehicle irrespective of original drivetrain layout. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
All I know is that if it is all things to all men and the greatest thing since sliced bread, then it will push 812 and F12 prices back down again. If F12 knocks around £100k then that will be the biggest billy bargain going. Soleith and I have discussed this elsewhere, but I just can’t wrap my head around the 167 being 2.5 x an F12.
All V12’s under the 812 are rock solid on pricing and not moving lower even during uncertain times of last twelve months. So I wouldn’t be waiting. We all know regular production V12 might end at 167. Regardless it’s been stated even 167 will have a decent price increase which should further hold up older models imo. All modern production V12's follow the same curve. The 812 hasn't been around long enough to bottom. The most recent always takes the biggest hit with a new release. But you shouldn't care if you love your car. This new one is so hyped its almost a bit toxic. "All things to all men". Good grief.
I think so, with the usual option spend this replacement will be £425k + inevitable premium for first 6 months. F12 & 812 will hold station for same 6 months and may increase slightly if “ you need to be an owner of V12 to order F167”
