It's disgusting. People lose their arms/legs in the workplace and get a fraction of this. Other people work their entire lifetimes and don't come close to being able to save the payout she got. Her agenda is completely clear, she is building a brand for herself and painting herself as a bogan ME2 victim. I still don't understand why there was a payout at all when there was no admission of guilt on his part, and no memory of what actually happened on hers. For all anybody knows they were both in total agreement for what happened. I ain't saying the guy's not a total sleezebag, but I don't see how she was a victim at all - but she's certainly playing one. What's really disgusting is how this became so political and how she used that environment to secure the compo. And how everybody else (media including) is piling on in order to further their "toxic males in parliament" agenda. Although it pains me to say, I really do fear for the future of the west. My personal reading of it... a) They are both a couple of low-class f-wits, typical leeches in the public sector. b) She is a drunk/easy to say yes type, he's a predator. c) Whether it was consensual we will probably never know (nor will anybody). I suspect the only person who knows for certain (Brucey) will never talk. d) They did the deed, got found out, she was worried about losing her job so played the victim card. e) The media/pollies/SJW's made it into so much more. They all smelled opportunity. f) She either smelled a meal ticket (payout) or was pushed towards one by her "handlers", and grabbed it with both hands. Media, lawyers and politics got into a feeding frenzy for opportunity. g) The **** show started and it all got out of hand. Compos, lawsuits and never ending BS in the media. Just my read. For what it's worth they are just both cashing out on the ******** that is swirling around them created by the pollies and MSM.. I mean it's what their generation do, right?.... Build a brand and cash out on it. They're hardly the first. Paris did it 20 years ago.
Of interest to me is her current boyfriend, He reads poorly regarding his history and has IMO seen an opportunity to earn for himself via her easy cash & what with the consent female companion (Minder) she has at all these hearings /cases ....perhaps provide by Labor to keep her on the straight and narrow.

It wasn't about Lehrmann per se... this was done to shut down the whole toxic workplace discussion - huge can of worms for ALL parties, hence not a peep out of the opposition when the payout was made. Much more to do with how she was treated after the event than the actual rape charge. Note: I don't necessarily agree with it, but it was about covering the asses of POLITICIANS not party politics...

Well given how it all turned out, I can't say I reckon that compo was money well spent. Say what you will about the right wingers, but I think they're onto something when they bang on about small govt. Just to think half of my income goes to taxes for this kind of sh*t Again I ask, how do I get onto this gravy train? Need to get a job in the public sector for a start, I suppose.
Settlement details have now been released. Figure was $2.445 million, not $2.3 as she claimed. Easy to forget $145,000 when it’s only other people’s money I guess.
