My Fiat adaptor is wired up like this: Image Unavailable, Please Login If you take power from your cigarette lighter, just be aware that some cigarette lighters are not powered up until the ignition is turned on.
Tomorrow I will have a look on my fiat adaptator,is your working? Thanks for all your advices Have a nice evening
After a quick control,I have noticed that my Fiat adaptator is missing the wire n°4. May be the problem?
Hey Ian! I am looking for the wiring diagrams for my car: 99 355 F1 Spider US Specs I’ve got the engine coming out, so I’d like a copy of the wiring diagrams just as a resource if possible… Thanks!!
Just be aware that some of these kits have the wrong pin size. I don't know which websites sell good versions. I bought mine many years ago. It was very cheap, but it worked. If you don't have a separate battery source, you could try buying a cigarette lighter adaptor. https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/narva-narva-12-24v-led-accessory-plug---heavy-duty-20-amp/346713.html? Is your cigarette lighter working?
I don't have full diagrams for the F1, Huzi, but I'll give you what I have. The instrument panel warning light wiring is a bit of a mystery. https://www.dropbox.com/t/g0L6INwpRHWb9V76
The only CAN Bus is on the 355F1 (between the Engine ECU and the F1 TCU) Pins 85 and 86 on the Engine ECU.
I understand, my name is Marcos Persia, I have been in the chat for several years although I participated little, I am from South America and I am not good with my English, I apologize for this, my f355 challenge year 1995 worked perfect but it stopped lighting, The spark plugs come out wet in fuel, it's like I don't have an ignition spark, but I check and if I have even though I noticed that the spark is weak.. since I have the car it's happened to me twice but it changed sparks, it cleaned connectors and turned it back on... but now it doesn't want to turn on, it also makes explosions as if it were out of point .. sometimes it turns on and if you press the accelerator it stops and doesn't turn on anymore.
After you changed the spark plugs and cleaned the connectors, are you sure that you connected the spark plug leads (wires) to the correct sparkplugs (or coil packs)? Here's a diagram for the right hand bank (cylinders 1~4) https://www.dropbox.com/t/elfzdyWhgSXX812R Here's a diagram for the left hand bank (cylinders 5~8). https://www.dropbox.com/t/6E8OjtXHbYBQdXyH And here's a diagram which shows the power supply to the left and right banks https://www.dropbox.com/t/d48N054XMvjliZZD Do Chilean cars have Check Engine lights or Motronic ECU test buttons? Are you getting weak sparks on all cylinders? Power for the coil packs comes directly from the ignition key. However, it does pass through the relay panel and via the respective "Rear Connectors for L/R Injection ECU" (41052 & 41051). These plugs are not the Motronic ECU plugs. The left and right hand bank diagrams have graphics which should help you connect the spark plug wires properly.
Thank you very much Qavion!! I'm sure they are well connected.. because sometimes it worked well and sometimes it didn't light.. but when it turned on it did well, this car was from the USA in fact I think the previous owner is in this group!!! It has neither OBD, nor button, only a 3-wire connector.
If it was a US car, it sounds like someone stole your buttons At least you can still purchase these buttons and (possibly) adaptor wiring harnesses. I can’t think of anything which would affect both banks, apart from a cam sensor… or does the Challenge have two cam sensors? Power going to the coil packs goes through two different connectors on the relay panel, so it’s unlikely to be a power issue. If it was an ignition lock problem, you would have bigger problems.
According to the parts manual, there are two types of Challenge... 1995 and 1999. Experts? Can you post a photo of your engine?
