Don't know why but I'm getting a tire pressure warning every time I start the car. Been going on for a while now and while I know colder temps are usually to blame, I do check my tire pressures and they're good (for me anyway). The warning turns off almost just after I leave my driveway, but it's been coming on briefly and then going back off during rides now. I have a 2008 so there's no reset button for it. Pressures are 32-33 all the way around when I check it. The manual states that a difference in 2.9lbs will trigger the warning, but I'm not suppose to be at 35psi am I? My guess is I'm bouncing off the lower limit if so, right?

I wish it would just let me select what I want to run instead of having a preset variable which is kind of silly for a car that gets tracked. Or am I completely wrong in thinking that you can't set it yourself in a 2008 model? Or, is something broken possibly and triggering the warning?

Also, ignoring the british spelling, why not "Check Tyre Press" instead of the way it's written? Maybe a direct Italian translation?

Check with launch if all transmitters are working when you get errors

Thanks. I'll try that. I'm using Foxwell, but it should be able to see those.

My 08 does the same. Has for the past four years I’ve owned it, including after installing new TPMS. I just ignore it now.

Have you played around with the pressures at all to see if it wants something higher?

Using the launch on my Toyota, it should list the alarm point. My rav4 was in alarm on ice days

So, used my Foxwell to connect and running into all sorts of issues now which I think are scanner related. First, if I try to do a scan of the whole system, it actually throws codes as I’m reading showing errors on the dash and all. Like the process of scanning is tripping the monitors somehow. Very odd. Second, if I connect to the TPMs, it shows it as being enabled but when I scan it, it says it’s not able to connect to it at all.

Now second guessing my scanner purchase :(

it is normal ( i guess normal for third market scanners) to throw codes for suspension , and com errors .. clear errors and enter directly into the TPMS system from a reboot

Mine comes on, then goes off

I did have one insrance where it kept coming on during a drive and was freaking me out, didn't know what was go8ng on, but just that one time

Never worked right on my 08 MINI either

    As for this

After spending as much time as I have in the WSM, I would interpret as, conditon/action-location

    Ie, check pressure - tires

    OK, so a few things.

    1. I tried doing a scan with my fancy Foxwell scanner. Every time I scanned the car, it threw codes up and started beeping at me. Suspension warnings, CST, ECU, E-Diff, the whole lot. Specifically from doing the scan, not pre-existing. I figured maybe the scan tool was doing something funky so I bought an autel AP200 since it was inexpensive and others here use it. It managed to scan with no issues EXCEPT, it threw a suspension code and cluster code every single time. The cluster code referenced suspension and the suspension code referenced no communication with NFR. Is this normal when reading codes? If I do a quick clear, it clears them and reads them as pass unless I rescan the entire system again.

    2. There’s a section to check the TPMS but it doesn’t seem to be able to communicate with the module.

Any ideas? Am I doing this completely wrong? I’m assuming the car needs to be off but the key in the on position like every other car, right? Anybody else get codes thrown up just from scanning the car?

In the meantime, my TPMS keeps kicking on every morning and sometimes halfway through drives. It goes away after a few seconds every time and the actual warning light doesn’t usually come on with it.

My late production 2007 will also post Tire pressure warning if one tire is set slightly low..it will not come on if all four tires are set to desired PSI.
I agree with Goggles the system should allow for drivers desired setting and warn if out of those parameters. It seems like the factory required PSI is the starting target.
