296 GTS Waiting Room

Thought it'd be neat to have a thread to yak about when folks get the call that their allocation is in and tracking all the subsequent build stages all the way to delivery. You can post your builds and all things related to the exciting and frustrating space between order and driving away with your car.

To get us started, my allocation was on my dealer's 11/23 call and is currently in 10G waiting to freeze at any moment. I'm guessing/hoping that delivery will be sometime during summer 24.

 

Placed my order 11/22. No VIN yet.

 

Placed mine 08/22. No VIN.

 

Wait, you guys got your allocation last year?
Or do you mean when you put your deposit down for your order?

I was asked if I wanted one and put my deposit down 5/22 when they were first announced, but didn't get the actual allocation until 11/23.

As far as VIN I forget at which build stage that shows up on the app.

 

I put my deposit down in the Summer if I remember. I'll go back and check.

 

I placed a deposit and then later on was told I had my allocation. I’m currently in status “W”, so I still have a while to wait.

I placed a deposit in mid-July 2022 and still On the “Wait List” as shown on my Ferrari app.

 

Deposit and order placed April 2022. I was told 2-3 years. A few months ago my SA reached out to finalize the order so he can quickly place when allocation is achieved (although I still can change it).

Just checked in last week with SA and was told to check in again in early 2024 but likely another year or so.

App shows nothing.

Placed my order, and deposit, in April 22. Still on the "waiting list" in the App. A couple weeks ago I was told to expect an allocation in Feb/March 24, assuming the dealer's allocations continue at the current monthly pace.

 

Just discovered it's 10G. VIN assigned.

 

Signed the sales contract and put down deposit on 7/20/22. Talked to SA in May 2023 and again in October 2023 at which point he said you'll probably get your Roma Spider before the 296. The app shows wait list for both cars.

 

7/8/22 for me. Looking at 2025 apparently.

 

Now 10R

 

Just got VIN today. I am expecting 4-5 month, just in time for summer

 

Placed order on 4/21/2022. It's 10R now

Deposit on 4/21/2022. Order finalized 11/19/2023. Saw VIN today, called SA and told it's 10R. no more changes.

 

We must be close. My deposit was 4/25/22. Just got Vin & 10R status.

 

maybe our cars will be production buddies. lol

 

All depends on when your dealer puts the order in and accepted by Ferrari count the time from there.
