I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to the Fchat community Over the last nine months I have been working to get my Dads 308 back on the road. It had been sitting torn apart for last 10 yrs in his garage and not willing to pay Ferrari service rates it just sat non-op. He passed in 2021 so it felt really good to drive it to work for a little car show yesterday. The 30 miles there and 30 back was furthest distance so far and ran great. So thankful to the Fchat community for the advice, support, and encouragement that got my Dads 308 back on the road. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dad, sons, and cars. It is a real connection and shared passion that is one of life’s great relationships. I bet many folks on these boards caught the car craze from their dad’s passion and can understand and appreciate the goal you just achieved getting your shared dream on the road. Having a spin with dad virtually in the passenger seat as you drive. Priceless. Congratulations, I am sure your dad is proud.
You are so correct. I always say the best moment of my Ferrari experience was when my Dad came up for a visit and I tossed him the keys and we went for a drive.
Car looks beautiful man! Thanks for sharing. I also lost my Dad back in 2020, nearing 4 years now. Time flies. Wish you all a wonderful Christmas with your families.
Nice 308. My father passed in 2021 at 90, he was not a car guy . Thats cool that your father was into Ferraris ,and that he passed his down to you . Many canyon roads in So Cal to takes these cars out for great drives . Big G
