New, very difficult, yes. On the other hand, balance that with other Ferraris that have gone the other way and it works out. Plus, you have a brilliant car that you may as well use without guilt. In some ways, a better car than one that sits in the garage because you can’t afford to drive it. I love the SF90. It will probably get recognised in the UK at some point for being the superb car it is. At which point they will suddenly be great cars to own for those that paid 3 something for a 3k mile car. There are loads of prior examples including F1, F40, F50, 964 RS, 996 GT3 RS etc. Many of these were not limited cars, they are just scarce because they never sold when new only to sky rocket at a future point as the market woke up to them.

I like to drive my cars, but don't want to loose 50% of my value in 20k miles!

I already have 2k miles in two weeks on my SF90, so i will park it for some drives and enjoy my other cars.

I put 12k miles on my AMG GT Black Series in four months and put 16k miles on my 720s in four months, all pleasure driving.

I agree, the SF90 is a wonderful car!

Just to argue the fact that if prices are falling the dealers do not believe that fact. My local dealer has a used SF90 with less than 1K miles on the showroom floor for $980k.

I saw 29 SF90 Spyders for sale on Autotrader in North America yesterday. We have gone from 2 to 29 in about one year. A little surprised given you need to keep an SF90 to get the SF90 XX.

I guess those who know they’re in line for an XX already know, therefore no reason to keep the car for an allocation?

Before my Z06 arrived I was looking for a F8 Spider. So I just checked Autotrader and there are 145 for sale. That is lot more than I remember several months ago. I guess the secondary market is slowing down.

Not sure what the official XX requirements were. Just looking forward to adding that horse to the barn. I did see today’s Ferrari market update by the German YouTube guy (Fourwheel Trader), who mentioned the depreciation rate on SF90’s has slowed. It will be interesting to see where SF90 values go, once those of us required to hold them begin to put them up for sale…

Ferrari is a horrible investment when you mile them they get crushed. That said I am crushing my F8 while I have a 296 Taylor made coming. Everything cost money

It seems 'mileage' Ferrari's lose money, far more than other brands ....... why is that, when they 'drive' so well?

I don’t think that is accurate. Relative to a near zero mileage that may be accurate, but Ferrari’s don’t depreciate nearly as much as non Ferraris with similar mileage.

Unfortunately the factory made clear to XX clients that they should still own their SF90 when they get their XX delivered otherwise they might loose their allocation. Even at the end of the production process.

I guess we might expect lots of SF90 coming on the secondary market as the XX gets delivered.

It has not sold. It’s only a bid. I think the market has leveled out. These cars should start going at msrp or slightly under but don’t hold your breath for anything under 500k especially a well optioned car.

that was a finished auction, not just bids. It did not meet reserve.

Just to put some perspective (although, of course, it will be no news for informed people)... the latest "esperienza Ferrari" events for the SF90 were openly targeting customers for used cars (which was a first, as far as I know). That may indicate that Ferrari is aiming at building some support for the used SF90 market; and showing that Ferrari is not really happy with the current market situation.

Do you guys think the market has bottomed out on the SF90, in the US?

If so, how long before the values start going back up?

The reason i ask, is that i am trying to convince some friends to buy one!

Would the SF90 Spider be a better buy than a Coupe?
