Yea!! Love to see Houston come back to beat Tennessee in OT while they’re wearing Oilers uniforms!! Karma served.
Buffalo looked very impressive last night and every Cowboy looked as if he wished he had never boarded the plane.
Agree.. cowboys looking to stick to their pattern of looking strong all year with great players, then choking out of the playoffs in the early rounds. Really though, seems like a lot of teams are hovering around that same tier…. Good games and bad games, nobody truly dominant except for maybe the 49ers? When Brock Purdy went down yesterday, there was a moment I thought he was done for season. 49ers vs Ravens Super Bowl would be fun if things hold the way they appear to be. But the playoffs always seem to have random upsets.
I should have remembered Dallas SUCKS when on the road, and Buffalo is playing for their playoff lifes... If you REALLY look at Dallas, they have nobody on offense that truly scares you aside from maybe CeeDee Lamb. Neutralize him and they really do suck on offense. Tony Pollard is a good back, but he's not a workhorse gamebreaker, he's a complimentary back that needs another back to work with. I THOUGHT they would go after Derrick Henry, but after watching Henry closely in the last few games, he really has 'lost it', a step at least, he's not the scary guy he was even two years ago. Except they lost 3 in a row once. 'They' keep worrying what would happen if Auyuk or Samuel or CmC goes down, but that team evolves around Trent Williams and Brock, lose those guys and they are screwed. Yeah, and it is not always the 'skill position' guys. Several teams are not the same if they lose some lineman, such as Philly and Jason Kelce. MOST teams - if they lose a GOOD Center - are screwed. That's one of the reasons New England was good for so long - they had a great OL that was intact all year, THEY made Brady look good. Look at Green Bay, lose two OL and they suck... There are a LOT of guys that have lost a step - Derrick Henry, DeAndre Hopkins, Julio Jones, Michael Thomas, Michael Gallup, OBJ, Slayton, Shepard, guys I have taken early in my FF drafts but don't anymore, even Austin Ekeler is a shadow of what he was even a year ago, and it's HIM or the offense or the OL, his YAC is practically nothing, his speed is half what it was. (YAC - yards after contact)
It sucks for the RB’s…. but I understand why those guys aren’t getting big veteran contracts…. They just get too beat up. If you’re a GM, it’s easier to just draft RB’s out of the draft every year…. Those guys need to be young and fresh. The players union needs to completely renegotiate a lot of stuff…. QB’s are making too much….. they could regulate contracts to cap certain guys, and ensure more money for the ones the most on the line of fire.
I agree with Brock Purdy that CMC is more valuable than he is and should be MVP, unless Lamar Jackson steals the show. I think they should give "Honorable Mentions" to the runners-up, which might also include Tyreek Hill.
Yea they might have already missed window… That 4th quarter of the superbowl was so bad… that was their game to win… I still think they were better team than the chiefs chiefs shouldn’t have even been in that game… damn near got clipped by the jaguars AND bengals
Going to be an interesting last 3 weeks…some pretenders are going to make playoffs and this year, who knows, they might make it but get destroyed by Niners or Boys.
The player's unions' goal is to get more money for it's members, they have no control at all over who gets what nor should they. It's a seller's market - those that perform get paid, those that don't get cut, just like the real world. SOME players restructure their contracts so the teams can spend more in other areas, Brady did that forever, Mahomes has, baseball player Ohtani just did, but some guys want it all and don't care about anyone else.... The last thing anyone needs is 'regulation'.
That fumble by Hurts that KC turned into a TD was the turning point. Philly was in total control of that game until that happened,
Every year there are only about four legit teams to make the SB, all the rest are 'pretenders', this year is no different. But all it takes is ONE injury to render a team from contenda to pretenda, Baltimore is toast without Lamar, KC can't win without Mahomes, Buffalo can't win without Josh Alllen, Can Miami win without Tua? What does Herbert mean to the LAC (with a good coach), look at all the teams that had 'promise' until their QB went down: Minn for one, a lot of decent teams slipped to mediocrity. Yeah, some teams have done OK, but are they SB contenders? Nope. (Cinn, Clv, Minn for a few games...) Kyler is back and AZ is better, same with Stafford at the Rams, but SB bound? no.
That doesn't matter. New England was in control until 'the Philly Special'. Buffalo had it won until 'wide right'. NE was 18-0 until a helmet catch by the Giants. Seattle had it won - until an interception on the 3 yard line. Atlanta was up 28-3 - and lost. We could go back in time and list a TON of games that were won - until they weren't. Just as Dak does on the road and in the playoffs. I have NO idea who will be in the SB, much less who will win it. Injuries may dictate who wins, and, after watching more games than ever this year, far too many times I have seen games won or lost on stupid penalty flags, and for that reason I find it almost impossible to predict, BUT, if the SB was to play this weekend, it would be Baltimore vs. San Francisco. IMO. BTW - Baltimore just lost a key RB for the season, they are running out of RB's. If CmC goes down, SF is doomed.
They will be really good next year, but you know what? So will Seattle. All Seattle is missing is a really good, consistent QB, and maybe a Safety, since Jamal Adams is always injured and, quite frankly, isn't that good.
Good one Paul. As a hockey fan you'll know how annoying it is that every rink blasts 50 year old rock music for 10 seconds with every stoppage in play. Well, they do that at the BoA stadium in CLT. After EVERY whistle you get a blast of old rock, hip hop or rap until the offense lines up. And it's LOUD. I hate it. Even in the luxury suites, you can't escape it.
