I didn't say they won it - I said they were in control, and that fumble changed the entire game.

No, I understand what you said, all I was saying was being in control doesn't mean you won.
You can have 450 yards of offense, but if you turn the ball over 5 times,
you generally don't win, even though you controlled the game. (as an example)

Thank God for the NFL Redzone, otherwise I may be stuck with Jets/Redskins on Sunday...

    Chicago/Arizona may actually be entertaining.

    Bills/Chargers, Patriots/Broncos, not so much...

My guess is Bills/Chargers is optimal of the choices. Teams often get a one game lift after firing a coach.

I think they're missing the offensive lineman who got injured.

Likely true. Seems the team just hasn’t put it all together the last 6 weeks

I could post all the things that are wrong with Philly but I only have two hours until lunch. If they do not win out, and big, they are going nowhere in playoffs. Cowboys catching a big break as half of the Dolphins' roster is on the injury report

Would eagles fly to bucs for a road playoff game? That would be interesting.

I was at the Philly-TB MNF game in September. One of the very few games Eagles dominated...had something like a 10 minute drive in 4th quarter to seal it. My niece is an avid Eagles fan and lives in Sarasota, so I would be at a PHL-TB playoff game. Eagles have 5 starters ruled out for Xmas day game vs. NYG...and some of THOSE "starters" were on practice squad most of the year.

My question is this: Does this mean Mahomes is average without any good players around him like they about Brock Purdy?

He looked awful today, and you can’t blame it on dropped passes today.

I was not one bit surprised.
I went with the herd and picked KC, but I thought LV had a better chance to win.
KC won't go far in the playoffs.

I wonder who they will go after in free agency, or in the draft?
I said earlier there are only four FA WR's worth going after, ANY other ones are not an improvement.

    1) Yes. When Mahomes is in the pocket he looks VERY predictable.
I also see him trying to force plays more than ever, most other QB's would be benched.
When he scrambles to the sideline - especially to his right - he is pretty predictable, I cannot
tell you how many pics he's thrown at the last second - it's a bunch.

    2) Purdy had how many balls batted up in the air?
Purdy is going to be destroyed by Ben Maller and Colin Cowherd... but that's what those clowns do.

There are sooo many teams that we have NO IDEA which version will show up,
led by Dallas, Detroit, Cincy, Pitt, Jax, Atl, Saints, GB, Buff, Sea.... even Miami

Sure enough - on sports talk radio all night last night and all of today:

    KC sucks
    Purdy sucks
    Dallas sucks
    Hurts is awesome

    Philly is awesome
    Baltimore is in the SB

Only one guy had the guts to say Buffalo is a fraud - barely won, could not run the ball.

A difficult year to predict as every team has had "off" weeks

I'd still say that 49ers are probably a little better than the Eagles

If the 49ers end up facing the Ravens in the Superbowl.... I can imagine it going much differently than last night.... that's a lot of film to scheme with

But you could always up with random upsets once you get into the playoffs..... even a team like the Browns could stun some people

Finally - a radio sports guy that actually said all of Purdy's interceptions were on batted balls - except for the first one.
Just like tipped passes getting picks, I cannot blame the QB on them.

Something still isn't right with Philly, even the players are saying that.
Missing the OC and DC from last season is the issue, I think.
I'm wondering how good KC would be if they had AJ Brown, Devante Smith...

    Random thoughts:
    - if Seattle had a decent QB
    - if AZ had ANY WR's
    - if NO had a consistent QB (that was good)
    - if the Jets would have kept Flacco - but you also need a HC that is an offense guy...
    - if Chicago had a decent coach OR OC that would turn Fields loose.
    - Jax is loaded, not sure what is wrong with them, they seem to be like KC and Phil... good team in a funk - all year long.
    - If LV could ever figure out how and when to use Adams, Meyers and Mayer (the great TE).
    - If Pitt could ever develop an offensive game scheme.
    - if the Giants could EVER construct a passing game...

    Raiders thoughts:

The D turnaround since Pearce took over has been nothing short of spectacular. He’s a great motivator and comes from that side of the ball, but to go from worst to top 10 is stunning, and there is no acknowledgement from the experts/media jokers.

The O should be so much better. Perhaps need brilliant OC and AOC cannot be the go-forward starting QB next year.

Great draft for QB and LT. Worth giving up two 1st rd picks to move up to get one of the top 4 QB’s? Who is the experienced GM to lead this move?

The team I’m most excited for next year is Houston…. If CJ Stroud comes out just as good and they keep adding pieces around him + their new coach from SF I think has been great

NFL strikes again. Lions got absolutely ****ed. Replay plainly shows Decker (68) walking right up to referee in the backfield and reporting along with Skipper (70) running up behind him reporting. It wasn’t like these guys woulda walked up and discussed the weather. Then the apparently half cocked ref jogs away to the line for no reason to be in a hurry because the clock was stopped by a Dallas time out anyhow. Brad Allen’s group needs to be fired immediately. Total disgrace.

For all sports… given the technology we have in 2024… there just seems to still be way too much human element in officiating.

^^ Agree 100%. Even more so in baseball (pitches) but no sports should have this much of an issue.

Goff just said in post game that Decker absolutely reported because he told him to. Skipper did not (but wasn’t required to since he’s a tackle/guard). Refs just flat out blew it and essentially cost the lions the game.

Of course now Brad Allen comes out and instead of taking the high road and admitting their mistake, he lies and says 70 reported (Skipper post game said he didn’t say anything) and 68 didn’t (Decker/Goff said he did). Then he said two flags were for illegal touching and illegal formation - both since they since they screwed up who reported eligible. Skipper (70) would have had absolutely zero reason to report since he lined up in place and as a tackle which would negate the illegal touching. The long and shore is Brad Allen is both a screwup and a bald faced liar.
