I thought Corbani's Corner was shut down to new posts years ago to respect John, why new posts now?

    I intend no offense to the most recent post in Corbani's Corner, but I had understood that Corbani's Corner was shut down to new posts years ago, out of respect for John. So, why are new posts appearing in Corbani's Corner, and under what conditions are they allowed?

    Where did you get your information from? It was my understanding that John used his Dino as a daily driver and loved his car. The post was created out of admiration and respect.

    You misunderstood my post. I drove John's Dino years ago, after he died, but before Candi sold it. After John's death, the list of posts in Corbani's Corner was arranged by a moderator and longtime Dino owner. At that point it was supposedly locked down to prevent new comments in order to preserve the body of work so we all could look at it without disturbing it.

    I never met John but we chatted via emails many times and I got the impression he was a person who gave up his time to help others, he certainly taught me a few things along the way and he certainly had a open mind on learning a few things too.

    For me I would like to see people add to his hard work so it becomes an reference point for future owners. Think of it as an encyclopedia of fixing dino's and enjoying it, i think he would like that.

    We never locked the threads, only to table of contents thread was locked after Tillman added links to my original post. I see no harm in there being new posts in the other threads, so long as they are in keeping with the spirit of John's legacy.
