Hello All, New 488 GTB owner here in Colorado wanting to lower on Novitec springs and 20/21 wheels. Was hoping for some constructive feedback for recommended (mm) to drop. Not planning on tracking just some street driving and have other lowered vehicles with carbon splitters so familiar with taking everything at angle. Have searched forums and there seems to be a range from 15mm to 30mm. Also any advice from others that have done the mod would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just picked up a 488 and it's lowered on Novitec suspension but not sure what the mm drop is but so far no scraping. Gotta be a little careful though especially for the rear diffuser. Scraped mine on my F8 and it was also lowered on Novitec suspension. You can see the ride height here: When I get it back from dealership (putting in new battery) I can measure it for you.
I have Novitec springs with stock wheel sizes CF front and rear splitter. Got to be careful with driveways and speed bumps Have noticed that at “arrest me speeds” I will sometimes scrape bottom on seemingly flat expressways. Lot of downforce with these cars I don’t know exact height but not totally slammed Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
my 488 is on Novitec. My Tampa Ferrari dealer did the install. I do not have the height adjustments from the points on the frame but could get you fender measurements if you need. Not the most accurate or how you adjust ride height but a ballpark. Mine is NOT slammed and we kept the factory rake angle. I did not want to kill the aero going on under the car...very important to high speed handling. Here are some photos of how mine sits both on OEM wheels and HRE 20" wheels. I had to add Hill Spacers with the OEM wheels but the HRE were back spaced properly to fit better. I'd probably like to raise the front up 3-5mm as it can lightly scrape the rubber fins that are under the car in the front inside the wheels. Im getting ready to list my 2019 488 to sell so I am highly considering putting the stock springs back on it because I think it might sell better...I am not sure though. What are you thinking of replacing the 488 with? I think I remember you are in NPR? I’m in Westchase and our neighborhoods look similar Image Unavailable, Please Login .
You have a 296!!!!!! I’d love to see it!!!! Yes NPR…actually Trinity to be exact. I don’t think I will replace it right now. Just want to sell it. Westchase isn’t far…I ride down Gunn all the time and cruise around the Odessa back roads. I lived in The Eagles back in 96-04.
Just got it and still breaking it in. I think it’s up to 205 miles now. Happy to meet up. Shoot me a PM.
Just went through this saga with my 488. Went too low and had to adjust back up. Index and middle finger together horizontal was my best gauge. It’s perfect now. Don’t drop too low - it’s a real pita.
Just lowered on novitec and add 15/20 mm spacers to stock rims Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What is the height from the top of the tire to wheel arch if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks in advance.
