hello and thank you ahead of time, on a 360 2002 the oval alternator 3 wires, one is from the battery positive fuse, the middle wire is from the ignition and relay behind drivers seat and on a car without battery charge light, where does that wire goes ? Thank you again

I appreciate the response from some of you guys, as you know I started with alternator not charging but the car started every time.
After dealing with a couple of rebuilt units I decided to go for new, FerrParts $825 but was not able to make sure that the unit was functioning properly as the car will not start or crank.
Battery is new and voltage is 12.6 v , there is 12.6 v at the starter and can be jump with my push button and it cranks perfect, I can also jump the starter relay behind drivers seat.
The Green module under the dash covered in plastic has any thing to do with this?
I read someone had to get Ferrari to align gears with the scanner as they go out of wack, and I also kept hearing a relay clicking, and it was the reverse relay, I took it out reset the alarm and stopped clicking.
Is there a scanner I can buy for this function? I live in Key West and is 3-4 hour drive if traffic is good,I also would have to get a trailer or tow it, When the problem started I was driving home from Miami, 5 miles away from home and they wanted $550 for 5 miles.
Also I had the top up as is was a nice day and has not been able to close the convertible top, so it seats next to my Testarossa in a climate control garage.
I know this is a lot but I truly would appreciate any help.
    Happy new year!

So if the starter works by jumping the starter relay, I guess it's a starter relay control issue. The immobiliser (when disarmed), sends an ok signal to the F1 TCU and the F1 TCU looks at its starting prerequisites before enabling the start relay. Sorry, I've forgotten if you have an F1 or a gated car.

You can take the F1 TCU out of the equation by jumping a plug behind the driver (i.e. Plug 8H/28H). See the wiring diagram/s in post #2. Jump pins 2 & 3. See this post:

If the car cranks, you know you have an F1 issue.

You can take both the Immobiliser and the F1 TCU out of the equation by grounding pin 2 on that same plug.

I created some test plugs to help with diagnosis (see that same message thread), but you don't have to go that far.

If the car still doesn't crank, you must have an issue with the wiring going to the starter relay. Note that that the ignition key start volts go through the relay above the start relay (i.e. the Battery-Charger-in use-start inhibit relay). This could be faulty.

Does your battery/alternator warning light come on when you turn on your ignition (prior to start)?

yes but it goes off immediately without the car even cranking. So not like a regular charging light.

Thanks. I didn't realise. So not so good as a diagnostic tool.
