You need to chill. Anyone is free to comment here - Ferrari owners, non-Ferrari owners and even Porsche owners. What cars do you own? You may not like some of the views/comments - I don’t particularly like yours over a number of threads - but so what, you’re entitled to express yourself!

Seriously we all love the Ferrari brand as well as other sports car brands and we all nitpick the details, and for this particular thread, at this time, we are all inpatient awaiting the final reveal of the F167. We are all soothsayers- some better at it than others and some with insider info- and frankly it will be interesting to see whose prediction comes closest to reality.
Would I like less weight- sure; more power- yeah; beauty- yup; better handling- check; the Ferrari sound and “emotion”- absolutely.
If I get all 5 of the above(unlikely IMHO)the car will become a classic.
If I get 4 out of the above 5 (more probable)the car will be a keeper and worth the premium.
3 out of 5 (can count on Manzoni messing up something in the design)it’s a toss up.
2 out of 5 or worse- belly flop
    The count down has begun…

I meant less weight full stop. whether its carbon or not is irrelevant and non hybrid is a big pull for many.

I don't care if he gets his info from Mamma Rossella at the Montana restaurant in Maranello or from fortune cookies. Brings more value to the threads than you talking down on people. Back to car talk.

And no sorry, certainly not high-level clients as you say, nor ultra-high-level ones, because none of them have access to that. But that's not the debate, and can you understand that only talking about the car and Ferrari matters to me, not about my nickname! Have I made myself clear ?

What a tedious conversation this has become. Are we seriously saying Ferrari should build a 1350kg V12? I think we need to just get a grip. It ain’t gonna happen. My old Testarossa is over 1,700kg with about 440 bhp and I love it. It isn’t light and I don’t care a bit. Ferrari aren’t going to start building carbon standard cars and for very good reasons. And they have a hybrid line which necessarily adds weight. Love it. Or don’t. But for heaven’s sake, let’s stop endlessly carping about it. I think everyone knows who thinks what and minds don’t seem to be for changing.

It is so dull to constantly hear people just moaning repeatedly about Ferrari on a Ferrari forum. We get it you don’t like them. Can we talk about the F167? It will be heavy. And by the sounds of it very beautiful. And it has the world’s best engine. I’m pretty happy with them for producing it.

That is a stunning black Daytona sp3.

I think we’re all excited about the F167. I still beg the question of what’s inside? If it is all digital and haptic I’ll keep the 812GTS with a mere 789hp and classic interior.

I think we r all happy Ferrari is making another V12 superGT as a regular production vehicle. We all expect it to be heavy, handle well and be a screaming banshee. Most of us hope it’s faster, a bit smaller in dimensions and at least not heavier than the current car and hopefully gorgeous to look at.
The worst that can happen is Ferrari ignores the customers completely , charge us a fortune for the opportunity to own, drive and complain about it and life goes on…

Let’s not forget the Ferrari flagship model is not a front engined V12, it is the SF90. And the F167 will not be the flagship model.

Weight is the enemy of a track car. Even though the 812SF, which as a ho hum, plain ol’ production car, can more than hold its own against dedicated LE track cars, it is not a track car.

The new suspension will take care of any weight increase and should finally get rid of the excessive dive & roll which was improved upon from the F12 -> 812 (and even further helped with Novitec springs). As stated earlier electronics make a big difference with “feels-like” weight- RWS.

My God, there is more than enough usable horsepower as it is. I’d trade any unneeded & frivolous RPM increase over a launch control that actually works instead of that damn lurch (great marketing $$$).

Regardless, if this is the swan song of the proper Ferrari - a V12 engine up front 2 seat spots car I’d rather it be a “lusso” rather than a “comp” if you will: IOW a more comfortable sports car - a true GT.

I couldn’t care less about numbers & rev rev rev red light drag racing/YouTube videos. If it’s good looking I’ll get one. If not, I couldn’t care less.

That is my biggest concern as in that earlier 16 minute video there is not one car that I’d buy or for that matter I find good looking. The whole Hot Wheels & ballooned/bloated design language of the current line up is disappointing at best.

Pagani can do it, GMA can do it, so why not Ferrari (sub 1300kg V12). Fact is they choose not to even though such a car would "walk out the door" at $3m+. And if Ferrari do (as we suspect) read this forum just maybe some of the "moaning" (I prefer to call it "not constantly drinking the Ferrari cool-ad") will be taken into consideration.

You’ve answered your own question. Ferrari do make a light V12. It’s called the sp3. And it sold in the hundreds at 10x the price of the fatter regular production v12…. Ferrari are marketing geniuses.

Weight is just one parameter. What matters is the overall performance and feel. Would you prefer a lightweight 355 over a 296?

No, not among others, because in motorsport and for sports cars, it is the primary parameter that determines all the others. Lamborghini has done it with the STO and McLaren as well, to stay in the same lineup. Ferrari does not do this simply because it is not necessary to make expensive efforts to sell. It's a reality you should admit. And if you want to know, for a driving enthusiast, an STO is a much better car than a 296,despite 200 hp less !

This car enthusiast disagrees ... I hated driving that thing, it is my least favorite version of the Huracan.

At least when Porsche makes a track focused street car, one is giving up comfort because GT cars excel on track. The STO does neither well, it's horrible on the street and not that good on track, so you get the worst of both worlds.

You do realize Ferrari is actively watching this site and its threads and has done so for a long time.
They already known all of this and in fact know far more.
They don't need a keyboard warrior. They deal with things themselves, when and how they see fit.

Why do you feel the need to de-rail the thread every 5-10th post, in order to talk about Day355 or make personal attacks on some other poster. It's becoming quite the nuisance - please act somewhat mature.
