I was thinking heavily modified, chopped down. But the side profile and that little square in front of the door looks very XK.

Looks to be a 1968 Chevy Impala Coupe (non-fastback). Since the car is red, can't tell for sure whether the tail lights are on the deck lid or in the bumper.

That would make it a '66 then. Kudos to Rob! And it's definitely not a '67 as that year had 6 rectangular tail lamps on the deck lid.
