My 12 FF teams: I lost this weekend with one team by 1.6 points, and another team lost by 1.2 points..... If any skill position player would have had 17 more yards, and 13 more yards, I would have won..... The first one knocked me out of the playoffs....

Post #331 before kickoff Thursday night I said 'I'm still sticking with CLV' Since #331 is the most current post, can you construe that as my pick for Thursday night? I know, I just wanted all to know of the snafu. Ever since I screwed up the first couple of times I have always gotten a pic in early just in case I forget during the week. When I saw who was starting at QB for the Jets, I switched to CLV, I just thought I had specifically said that on Wednesday, but I didn't. I also had Amari Copper in the starting lineup of one of my Fantasy teams that I thought I had swapped out, but didn't. I had him on the bench for five of my other teams, but missed one.... I even wrote down in my notebook I swapped him out, but didn't actually do it. Apparently. But that's Ok, I had Isiah Ford and also the CLV defense starting, they did me well....

For week 18, all of the games are on Sunday, but the times have not been published yet. And for week 18, I will publish my picks early, BUT. the problem is, if some key players are held out of some games, if his team has no reason to play him, that may skew some picks. I hate getting to the end of the season and doing it this way, and here's why: All the leader has to do is wait for the 2nd and 3rd place guys to make their picks, and all the leader has to do is mimick them and he cannot be beaten. I am the leader, and I will post my Saturday picks no later than 1pm CST Saturday, and my Sunday picks no later than 10am CST on Sunday. If I had gotten this to work correctly on Yahoo it would be a moot point, as you can make picks up until kickoff and your opponent won't see them until after the games are over.... plus you can make picks in advance - the whole season if you wanted to, and then go back in and change picks when you need to, based on injuries, who is hot or not, etc. but at least you would have a set out there in case you got tied up or forgot. Next season I plan on doing the game here - AND on Yahoo - and may make the last 2 or 3 weeks mandatory on Yahoo-only for the above reasons - and if we had money on the line I definitely would have figured out why you folks did not have access to the Yahoo one I started, that made no sense. I know you guys really don't care about things like this, but I do, but I'm way more into it than most folks on here, I have 12 FF teams, and I'm in about 10 different pick 'em leagues, between Yahoo, ESPN and NFL.COM
to avoid this, why not have the leader pick first and the second place pick 2nd etc….that way the guy in last place picks last and there’s no mimicking
Uh, that's what we are doing, but also, not everyone is available all hours of the day, Big Easy missed his picks on week 15 because he was tied up.... Folks can make their picks whenever they want, I was just publishing when I would make my picks. I USUALLY wait until just before kickoffs because I like to see injury reports, who is inactive, etc.
It's already starting: Mahomes not playing, Flacco not playing, others will also not play, we just don't know who yet, it is implied they may try to get Kelce 20 more yards so he can get to 1,000 and then bench him. I don't expect most 'star' players to play as much, or the whole game... I'd be surprised if Lamar played at all, or more than one series... we'll see.
Purdy and Lamar not playing. Easy win for Pitt and they are now in the playoffs. So why would Goodell schedule that game at 430 Saturday when he knew Baltimore are locked into their current spot and very likely will not play their starters? He should have the New Orleans-Atlanta game in that time slot, cause both of those teams are fighting to get into the playoffs
Because most 'fans' wanted to see the stars play, but the NFL didn't count on guys sitting, which WE all knew they would. And, there is no name recognition with anyone in NO or Atlanta with the CASUAL football fan, but those of us that follow it closely do know about Kamara (who may not play), Olave (when he plays), maybe Bijan Robinson or Taysom Hill, that's about it. Atlanta has one of the best TE's in the league and that clown coach almost never used him the last 2 seasons (yes, he was hurt in 2021).... Two of the worst-coached teams in the league, Dennis Allen is another coach that should be in prison for robbery... The only 'decent' games I see that may have everyone playing is: GB/Chi Sea/AZ and maybe Den/LV Disclaimer - I/we still don't know who all will be sitting out or limited this weekend.
