Sold the F8?

 

Daniel Balogh found this 296 in a green that is similar to Verde Masoni but with more yellow in the paint color. Also gold wheels to but brown for the interior instead of the orange.

Yes, dealer took it in trade on my 296. It’s now listed at Scottsdale. It was very difficult to move and someone really has to love and want yellow. You did an awesome job speccing it and I’m a fan of the yellow but they don’t do well resale.

 

So sorry to hear about this.
Maybe the 296 will be better.

Uhh, thats bad. Any ideas about Grigio Titanio or Viola Hongkong ? Because I have to think twice if I spent 25 K€ extra if this even is lowering the reselling price even more than free-of-charge-red.....

 

Hey Pastaboy, I would like to get the heat out of this topic. First of all, I love your spec, it is tastefull (well, depends on individual taste) and expensive. Without beeing jeaulous I couldn't (or wouldn't) affort it. And I can understand that you are reeeeeeaaaaaly happy with this spec. On the other hand my first thought was: Why does he post it again ? Without offending you, sometimes less is more. Ok ? So all the best to you !!!

I like the spec and built a few similarly. The price was eye watering though and I can’t see that being wise for a non LE car. With so many produced and it being the baby of the line, one can foresee big losses. If that’s of concern, to each their own.

 

Here’s my spec:

- Giallo Triplo Strato with Grigio Silverstone/Nero Momo stripe
- Exterior carbon bits
- Charcoal interior with yellow accents

I am 100% with you… I never thought that I would go for a yellow car, but seeing the demo FoSV had in Giallo Triplo Strato, made me fall in love with the color. I ended up spec’ing my car with it.

 

Hi, lovely spec.

My thoughts: I love Giallo triplo strato. Taste differs and that is good. I don't like the forged wheels in this spec, looks fuzzy from the side. You have different yellows (body/shield), a stripe and multiple color wheels. If I were you I would think about black or dark grey wheels (non bicolor). This said you might think about the standard wheels. All great specced other models in Triplo strato tend to keep the wheels design clear and dark - inhomogenious design distracts the eyes from the beautiful color. Just my thought.

This is an amazing spec. Don’t change a thing my man. There’s a similar car for sale right now at Ferrari Silicon Valley sans the stripe. The wheels are perfect.

Thanks! Funny that you mention the Ferrari of Silicon Valley car… that’s the car that turned me around on triple stage yellow. My spec is very much inspired by that car, although I put my own spin on it - I’m a sucker for a stripe (see my other car in my avatar pic).

I appreciate the perspective and very much agree that there are indeed different tastes out there - it’s what makes the world an interesting place!

I would have agreed with you if I had just seen the renderings. However, I had the huge benefit of having the FoSV triple stage yellow car live and in the metal (see pics in above post) as I spec’d my car. The renderings do not do the colors or the car justice. In my view the colors /wheels are an absolute knockout in person - so much so that it changed my mind on yellow, hence why it is spec’d this way.

I think once you get assigned a VIN, then production will commence not long after that.

 

How was that car? It's a decent price.

 

It’s a beautiful example! Being a demo, it does have some miles on it, but does not show it at all, either in condition nor how it drives. It is a heck of a price. I presume it would be also certified, which would extend some of the warranty too. Keith at FoSV is great to deal with if you’re interested.
