    Hi,

still waiting for my 296GTS and haven't fixed the spec yet.

I do like Giallo triplo strato, esprecially because in sunlight it looks a litte matte/pearlescent. Is there any red color that comes close to that look ?

I believe the Rosso Fuoco has a similar effect.

Also, Rosso Fiorano is an amazing color - although I may be biased (see pic below of my 550). Not quite as pearlescent as Fuoco, but it packs a super deep and metallic depth that pops in the sunlight.

    Thank you all !
The problem is, I have seen all of these colors only on photos. And they have depth thgrough metallic/mika flakes. But Giallo Triplo Strato in the sun gives a special pearlescent, sometimes almost matte look. So if you have seen all the above in real live, what would you think comes closest to this effect ?

The problem you have is a lot of these "reds" are super dark colors by comparison so the "pop" factor is dulled somewhat vs the "yellow" with similar flake.

Rosso corsa metallizzato is about as close to that effect you might be looking for in Red.

Thank you. I guess you are right. Giallo Triplo strato in the shadows is still yellow (with a little orange tint) and starts "glowing" with sunlight. Rosso Maranello for example is sooooo beautiful in sunlight. When you search the forum plenty of photos in the sun make RM a superb color. But I was a little shocked how it could look without light. It loses a little its character. What I am looking for is indeed something that is a strong "lip-stick-alike" red in the shadow and gets alive in the sun without changing its character totaly.

Didn't find any comparison of Rosso F1 2007 without and with sunlight...

I believe the paint that fits what you are looking for is Rosso TRS.

Rosso TRS is 4-layer, which has a lot of flakes, but is a classic and pure red, which maintains its tone in all levels of light.

I have owned 3 multi-layer reds, Fuoco, Maranello, and Magma. I understand what you are referring to with the almost matte effect with Giallo Triplo Strato, and I'm trying to think if I've ever seen anything like that. Here's Fuoco and Magma own the Pista and GTS respectively.

Thank you ! Both cars look great. Maybe the solution is to tell, what I do not want to have: For example Rosso Imola is great in sunlight, but in the shadows it is brownish/maroon and I don't like that at all. My dealer told me the other day that Rosso F1 2007 is a great color, but a lot of customers would say that the difference to Rosso Corsa is not enough to justify the extra 25 K€.

If there is a color, that looks like a intensive red in the shadows, like old Rosso Corsa does and popps in the sun (without too much brown, don't care for orange, but I do not like brown) that could be my color.

Background Rosso Imola in comparison to LaFerrari Rosso Corsa

@Lagunae92: After you had all the colors, which one kicked you most ?

My favorite is Rosso Maranello. It’s close to the Mazda red you see, where it’s rather bland in the shadows but cherry and glossy in the sun. They are all great colors, but if you want one that’s good in the shadows too, Magma.

I don’t like the brown undertones either, and none of the ones I’ve had were that way. Fuoco and Magma have some copper undertones, with Magma being brighter overall. Maranello is almost a magenta/purple undertone in a way. Pic attached. View attachment 3627179

Is here somebody from Germany/Swiss/Austria ? I would like to get samples of those colors on a speedshape.
I called my local F dealer and it is totally annoying that they do not try to help. I asked for color samples or Speedshapes, NOT free of charge of course. The answer is disappointing. "We don't have that, we can't do that, this isn't the normal process...."
I should move to another dealership. I didn't ask for samples of colors that are free of charge but cost 25K€+ - the amount of a very small asian car. I think this should be a normal question....
