Please see the following Court Document, with Felony conviction. A partial list of Ferrari and Porsche parts of well over $500k stolen from me.

Joe had keys to my Oceanside property, he had performed a few side jobs for me. He had previously worked for Chris Dugan, Dugan Enterprises Oceanside CA

Leggs decided to steal. He had been runout of Texas by several Porsche businesses he also stole from years earlier, not convicted, noone filed charges

Joe Leggs sublets space at Autos International in Escondido CA working on Porsche.

Hopefully, he will have a cellmate named Bubba.

    My condolences.

No jail time. House arrest, probation

California judicial system is very unfair

    I sympathize big time.
Sandro Terzini got me for 800K plus many others
    He did about 2 years
Not bad for stealing the millions he got.
Why work, just go on 2 year paid holiday paid by us

Why work indeed. We noticed an irregularity in the books of a client we took over and notified the previous company. Found out they had an employee steal $54k from the mutual client, $220k from other clients, and $175k from the previous company. The previous company had to do most of the detective work and badger the police to pursue it. He ended up pleading out, spent 1 day in jail, got 3 years probation, restitution was $45.00 per month. The DA said that if he had not plead out they would not have prosecuted the case.

A friend had an employee still $17k, wiring a vendor payment to his account instead of the company. Police took a report and the DA is doing little to nothing about it.

White collar crime does not seem to come with much recourse.

Wow Tom. Sorry to hear. In the old days this guy would just wake up dead one morning.

Marcel, I was actually born and raised in Oakland California. In the days I speak of we had much quicker and surer but a less official justice system.

Any pictures of this stand up citizen? Slim, short brown hair, glasses and lots of dirtbag tats?

I see he is listed on Yelp as one of the top 10 P Wagen mechanics in Austin.

Don't go to the internet for recommendations for service providers.

His on line resume lists not one single shop, former employer or school by name. Just another con artist.

Headed for a city near you. With any luck his probation requires he stay in California.

Piece of ****. With any luck he’ll be hit by a truck or something equally as fitting. Knowing David Moore I’m somewhat surprised it hasn’t already happened. All things in due time I suppose…

I hope you don’t believe that. There’s plenty of ways thieves can steal from you from physically taking inventory to cyber theft of funds or cc info to check fraud just to name a few. There are plenty of scumbags out there that’ll spend 10x the time and effort trying to steal as they would doing work. Plenty…

What happens to the people that purchased stolen property? Do you have recourse against them? I believe in California you do.

Perhaps the criminal restitution order will remain till the end of time. You can’t get blood out of a rock . Someone who burnt me out of 80k plus living great without a worry in the world really got under my skin. My lawyer suggested filing a 1099-C . Take the full value tax write off and let the IRS send paperwork till death.

The 1099-C move is a must. We do this with any bad debt written off if for no other reason than torture.
