Dealer deposits do not matter at all. Like antibiotics for kids with a virus- to shut mom up. It only counts when the factory debits the dealer for the deposit.

And yes the Factory has the final [emoji106] or [emoji107]. But this will (most likely) be a typical dealership driven list and not the factory to dealership mandated “here is your list” like the first PS
    list.

If the F167, in the "regular" version, will be as sporty as a Competizione, I think the chances are high that the track version will be an "XX", especially since it seems that Ferrari wants to explore this line commercially.

Have you bought a car from them before? Currently a Ferrari owner? Given that the "everything bubble" is clearly reaching its end, I do wonder if it'll be relatively easy to get an allocation during the production run.

I guess it depends on what is meant by "as sporty as".

I've never looked too much into the lightweights tbh. Is the suspension/gearbox altered or is it just turn the wick up on the engine, lose some weight and put a new badge on? I'd probably rather have the roadgoing manners of something like the F12 or Roma from a suspension perspective tbh.

I doubt very much that the regular car will be like a Competizione. It will have more sound deadening and more compliant suspension for sure. The track version might be an XX though - why not? It means a front V12 with a wing which would be a first for a Ferrari road car I think?

Not bought a car from them and not currently an owner. It's a bit of a Hail Mary from my side but you never know.

Don't ask don't get! Fingers crossed for you mate, as for us all. As said earlier, given that the everything bubble is bursting, it's conceivable that there may be some decent capacity after the initial sellout.

You can be pretty sure that there will be endless cars on the second hand market for 100k below retail within 18 month of the first delivery ... Been the case for 812, SF90 etc... So you might not even want an allocation but rather pick it up in the grey market

XX seems to be more limited - it's been seen once.
Time between coupe spider track painfully long - almost 5 years from test to final track version.
Agree like 812 - one second quicker at Fiorano vs F12tdf - next model is always faster may add 48V boost to the engine.

True, but that would be 100k below the inflated optioned-up price. I would be looking to go for a 'purist' spec (another reason for me to be bumped down any list!). Also, I've been clear to them that I wouldn't want a car until 2026, so supply may free up by then.

    Hi all,

New to the forum and equally excited over the F167 like you are! Like some others in here I've signed up on some sort of unofficial list with my local Ferrari dealer but I doubt that will do much difference to be honest. There are probably loads of collectors and long term owners ahead of me regardless if they've signed up on a list or not I guess. I have an 812 SF (my first Ferrari) since about a year back and I hope that will make at least some difference if they chose to sell this car to VIPs and long time V12 owners only before us normal buyers can get our hands on one.

Regarding the F167 being a hybrid or not, do you think the latest spy photos showing flaps on both sides of the car covering what could be fuel cap on one side and charging port on the other is something to go by or is it just standard camouflage?

    https://www.autoevolution.com/news/ferrari-812-successor-caught-heavily-disguised-allegedly-packs-838-hp-227051.html#agal_9

Hope we get to see the real deal soon!

welcome Peter, nice to have you.
Hopefully all interested will get one eventually.
Regarding flaps, it's just a decoy.

Not a hybrid whatsoever. Flaps allow rear fender vents to be covered at times and uncovered for testing at other times. There is no electric plug.

I think the dealer deposit matters more when it's the dealer approaching the punter to take the deposit, not the other way round.

This mule is quite interesting, with some illuminating features. Firstly, the alloy wheel design is pretty clear showing a return to the slender five-spoke design like the 458 forged wheel. The front bonnet line is exceptionally low immediately ahead of the A-pillar, more like the 812 than the F12, which is a good thing for me. The line ahead of the front wheel also hugs the wheel aperture much more closely than before taking visual weight out of the front of the car which I also like.

The sight line looks to be very low with this car - a low-slung seating position probably lending a great feeling from behind the wheel, although less visibility of what’s happening ahead of the front wheels. There is a curious bump mid-door. It could just be the padding but if so, why take the more complex route to pad the panel by adding a bump? Seems to suggest an acute angle from the window outwards, at the top of the door, before a sculpted tuck-in lower, towards the bottom of the door. The door shape is also interesting with a seemingly marked rise in the shut-line towards the rear part of the lower door. Very sporting and emphasises the low seating position.

The rear light arrangement looks interesting, especially with the strange shape in the padding. The edges, where the lights are usually housed are much lower than the centre, which suggests no lip or spoiler of any kind, but a distinctive tail arrangement. Usually curvier cars use this idea but it also takes visual weight away from the rear. Finally, the exhaust box seems much more exposed than usual and will either be changed (likely) or some carbon addenda added to add aggression.

The theme of the design looks to be trying to take visual weight away from the front and rear of the car and lower the middle. Suggests both a classic and aggressive look mixed in together.

Late night sketch trying to work out likely shapes and reconcile different clues provided by some in the know.

Not sure what’s happening at the back: maybe just huge fender flares on a flat-sided fuselage-type rear quarters? Padding on the door maybe hiding a Daytona-like swage line?

Yeah and? Every Ferrari that leaves the factory for the rest of your life is going to have GPF. More than anyone else on here I lament that circumstrance but at this point we live in a world where we have to get over it or buy used.

Cleaned up the sketch. Not saying it’ll look like this but this could be hiding under camo based on what we’ve seen: location on lights, rear bumper corners, etc.

Deliberately Daytona inspired, including fuselage body ( no hips at the back) but pretty sure won’t look like this, LOL.
