My 2008 430 starts ok but runs rough for the first 40 seconds or so. During this time when I push the throttle it bogs down and pops and bangs. After 40 secs it clears and runs great.

    no fault codes showing.

    anyone got any ideas?

Curious, if you immediately shut it down, then restart, will it idle okay then?

Yeah restarts ok. Idles a bit lumpy. Pops and bangs when I try to push the accelerator. Clears after about 40 secs.

When you start it up , keep your feet off the gas. The exhaust tone will be a bit loud, after a minute or so you will notice the tone has dropped down.
Trying to rev it too soon is putting unburnt fuel into the exhaust, hence your pops and bangs.. see if that works

I have a Tubi system and I cringe when I start it up early Sunday mornings to go for a spin.
I feel like all the neighbors will want egg my house

I had a non valve Capristo on my 430, it used to vibrate the windows of the house over the road when it started up, as it was in the garage head in. I got fedup with the noise inside in the end and went back to oem

When I first acquired my (used) 430 Scuderia back in 2015, it would cold start with a low idle and run roughly. If I shut it down and restarted, it would have the higher cold idle speed and run smoothly. I mentioned this to my local Ferrari dealer and they said there was a software update they could perform. It was only $125 or $150 in labor and has never recurred since.
