Welcome and congrats! I was in your shoes about a month ago. This is truly one fo the most inviting and helpful forums I have ever been a part of.
Congrats. Now we don't want to hear from you until next week when you've put 1K miles on your new ride! Hit the road and enjoy it!!
That makes me so happy to hear. Congratulations to you as well! I've wanted a Ferrari since I was 12, so it's a dream come true.
Oh, I have quite the story to share already, but I will wait a litle longer;-) Driving an older Ferrari brings all sorts of stories and experiences!
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I've wanted a Ferrari since I was 12, so it's a dream come true. About 15 years ago, I bought my first 911, and when I was at the dealer, I saw a Testarossa. The guy selling the Porsche to me said, "The fastest way for a young man like you to get behind the curve is to buy a Ferrari. If want an affordable exotic you can drive every day, stick with the Porsche." It was good advice because I've always been able to do most of my own maintenance and repairs on my previous German cars. This group is going to be invaluable. It will literally save me a fortune. I'm so glad to have found this group.
I hope you are correct. It seems a little intimidating right now. The lack of youtube video tutorials limits my DIY capability.
Check out ratarossa's YouTube channel. That's how I learned to swap clutches. Folks here also have a wealth of knowledge to help you as well. My 430 is the easiest car I've ever worked on, so nothing to be intimidated by.
thank you so much! Wow, he really does have a lot of videos. Thank you so much. And it really makes me happy to hear you say that it’s not that difficult are gone. I think I just need to get familiar with the placement of all the parts.
sorry, my voice dictation really screwed that up, but I was just saying thank you and I’m glad it’s not that difficult to work on. That makes me happy to hear!
360 is great to work on. The most complicated thing I did before wrenching on the Ferrari was changing oil on my Jeep. It’s not hard just read read read and go slow take your time Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
